Alder Trail Animal Hospital.

Alder Trail Animal Hospital.

Do not take your cat there if they have breathing problems. We took our cat Gomez (black one in the pic) in a few months back because he was struggling to breathe. They took chest x-rays and diagnosed him with athsma, then pumped him full of steroids and told us that he should be good for a month, 6 months, or a year.

It flared back up a month later and they proceeded to give him another two steroid shots and told us that blood tests wouldnt be necessary when we inquired and also told us that an inhaler would probably make the issues worse as it would freak him out.

Last night Gomez started having another athsma attack so we took him to the emergency vet this morning where the doc was absolutely horrified that the "vet" at Alder Trail didn't recomend any type of blood tests before or after giving him steroid shots. Our cat is currently sitting in an oxygen chamber awaiting blood work to find out if Alder Trail gave my cat diabetes through the shots and if he has heart disease that could've been detected at the original appointment at Alder Trail.

Cherry on top of this whole bullshittery, the emergency vet gave him a puff from an inhaler and he did not freak out.

Fuck these guys

Edit: as I was posting this the emergency vet called and informed us that he has a collapsed mucus plug which should have been caught in the initial xrays done at Alder Trail.

But good news, bloodwork came back normal, we have inhaler medications, no heart disease, and we'll be picking him up at 6.

And my cat is stoned and trying to be friends with everyone (doctors words not mine)

Edit 2: picking up Gomez now, told the doc that we'd been taking him to Alder Trail and she said that shit hole is the top of her list for DO NOT RECOMMEND. She didn't say shit hole but I added it on for flair.
