This bird has been landing on the screen of my kids’ bedroom for the last couple of weeks. She stays there pecking the window for a few minutes at a time staring into the house. She does this early in the morning and throughout the day. What does she want?? Sometimes she goes to one other window of the house that doesn’t have a screen and just flies into it with her feet to make noise, not in an unintentional way. I thought she wanted me to fill the bird feeder, so I did. She’s still doing this and waking me up very early in the morning with the pecking. If she could just tell me what she wants me to do, I’d do it!

Last year I planted squash and melons in old smart pots and let the vines run along the ground. I put pieces of cardboard under the squash to protect them from the gravel, and they were happy like that. The old smart pots disintegrated, so I decided to go for a stock tank this time.
