Just beat the intro!
Made myself an Elysian race and played the intro, was a heck of a lot of fun. But now I have to actually get gud. What are some of you alls strategies and why do you like them?

Are shields worth using?
I feel dumb as a brick, it really feels like shields barely do anything at all (typically try to use heavy armor) am I just bad and not seeing something I should or are they just not very optimal?

“Boundaries” mini comic
Human Resources meetings do get quite exhausting. In fairness, three 5 hour meetings every time a new species is discovered does get boring as hell, but even then, you’d have to imagine. Some things are universal.
“No touching” is a pretty basic rule of thumb on all starships. Sure some species like it. Some species really like it. Some species though…
This little comic gets passed around during cadet training. “Don’t be a Touchy Tyler”
In fact, most atrocities come with an alliterative name. “Loud Leroy”, “Smelly Simone”, “Grumpy Gus”
Setting off your coworkers may very often not be intentional, but there are many steps we take to avoid unnecessary provocation. We all know that even though they might need help reaching the top shelf, it’s not acceptable to give skivi crew members a boost. We also know that even though their spiked pelt may seem frightening, it’s impolite to hug the wall as soko crew pass by.
Remember, while we may find it difficult to adjust with all the species, we are asking them to come and work on starships designed for humans. No matter how alien they may be, it’s important to recognize that we are just as strange, with just as many “Do”s and “Don’t”s.
Now go out there and make the galaxy a better place! We are all rooting for you!

Idiot playing through has a question
Okay, so I’ve been trying to make a hybrid spell blade, I’m lvl 10 with strength of 5 endurance 4 and spirituality 4. I’m not asking for “builds” but I do have 2 questions.
Should I be focusing on one aspect of the build first and branch off later or am I building ok so far?
In y’all’s opinion, is the game better enjoyed focusing on one or two main stats or is it better for you all with a handful in everything.
I’m just looking for perspective. I have origin potions so I’m not worried about that nonsense but I do like other people’s perspectives

Idiot about to get the game!
So, I’ve seen a ton of pictures and stuff about this game, but I wanted to ask everyone here.
What is your favorite moment or aspect of the game? I don’t mind story spoilers, just wanna hear your highlights!
Update: Just got the game, won’t be able to play it for a bit cuz work and the sort, but I loved reading these stories and I’ll try and keep yall updated on how my playthrough might go!!!
