Just bought a APC SMT1500i. If you turn off the audible alarms setting on the UPS, does that also turn off any "Critical alarms" should they happen?

Just bought a APC SMT1500i. If you turn off the audible alarms setting on the UPS, does that also turn off any "Critical alarms" should they happen?

Well it was my first time building a pc and I stumbled across someone saying I need a uninterrupted power supply (UPS) which is the first time hearing anything about it. ( I used to have a pre built beforehand but I always just let it disconnect if the power tripped) Anyway, is this ups good enough for this pc?
