Smart glasses for travel, anyone found ones that don't die after 4 hours? And do people around you even accept them?
I've spent the last few months trying to dial in my setup for a month‑long trip through China, and the biggest headache has always been the charging mess in my bag. I have a pair of Meta Wayfarers but they die in like 3 to 4 hours of actual use, so I end up bringing a power bank anyway. Great for snapping photos, not so great for traveling light.
I've been looking into camera‑free alternatives with better battery life. Both Dymesty and Even Reality G2 looked promising with the 48‑hour claim, but G2 reviews sound brutal with constant connectivity drops and buggy software. Dymesty with no camera, this seems like it would make things smoother in temples and museums where people get uncomfortable around recording devices.
Has anyone actually used them on a longer trip? And did anyone give you a hard time about wearing them?
