Help me decide as newbie runner

Hey everyone, I’ve been researching my first proper running shoe and watching a lot of reviews from channels like Ben Parkes and Kofuzi. I’ve narrowed my choices down to:

-Brooks Glycerin Max

-New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v15

-Nike Vomero Plus

I’m just getting into running as a hobby, so I’m not planning to race or do marathons anytime soon. I’ve never really done serious running before aside from basketball. My only experience with “running shoes” was using Ultraboosts, but they gave me Achilles pain when I did incline walking on the treadmill.

My current goal is pretty simple: run/jog comfortably for around an hour, eventually do 5km runs consistently maybe some walking too in between of jogs.

I’d also like the shoe to work casually for everyday wear in case running doesn’t end up becoming a long-term hobby. Honestly, aesthetics matter to me too, and these three look really good while also getting solid reviews.

For reference, I am 5’6” and weighs around 65kg. Would love to hear your thoughts or personal experiences with any of these shoes, especially for a beginner runner.

Help me decide as a newbie runner

So i’ve been researching my first running shoe and watching all the youtube reviews from ben parkes to kofuzi channel. I have narrowed down my options to:

- Brooks glycerin max

- NB 1080v15

- Nike vomero plus

I am trying to get into running as a hobby so no plans of race or marathons as of now. Never ko pa talaga naexperience ung serious running other than playing basketball and my only running shoe experience was from ultraboost which gives me achilles pain when i did an incline walking sa treadmill.

My goal is to run/jog and do some walking for about an hour or hit 5km. Also, planning to use this shoe casually incase running isnt for me. Personally, these shoes are aesthetically pleasing in my eyes plus their review are also good.

For reference, I am 5’6 and weighs around 65kgs. Would like to hear your thoughts or experiences about these shoes?

Premium Beginner shoe - Advice

Ano pong shoes ang masusuggest nyo for beginner like me who has no past experience with running other than basketball haha. I have no plans on doing any race or marathons, it’s more on a hobby, cardio, and improving my stamina. Nasa list ko na is Asics novablast 5, vomero plus, asics megablast and superblast 3 (which is the top of my list but not sure if worth it ba ung pricejump compared to other shoes mentioned). I’ve done my research na and sobrang daming choices and points to consider kaya its getting confusing tapos parang they all offered the same comfort and performance. Planning to use this shoe for casual walks in the park or airport rides din in case, running isnt for me.

Premium Beginner friendly shoe - Advice?

I’m planning to get into running this summer as a hobby. I’ve never really done serious running before aside from basketball here and there, so I’d definitely consider myself a beginner.

My goal right now is pretty simple: start with morning jogs, build consistency, and eventually be able to comfortably run/jog 5Ks and maybe even 10Ks without having to walk most of it.

One thing that might matter: I’m a heel striker unfortunately lol.

I’ve been researching beginner-friendly premium daily trainers and right now my shortlist is:

- ASICS Superblast 3

- ASICS Megablast

- NB 1080v14

- Nike Vomero Plus

What I’m mainly looking for is:

- Comfortable for beginner running

- Durable enough to last

- Good for easy runs/jogs

- Can also double as a casual lifestyle shoe (walking, airport travel, park strolls, etc.)

At the moment I’m really torn between the Superblast 3 and Megablast. The Superblast seems amazing but I’m wondering if it’s “too much shoe” for someone just starting out while the megablast offers good durability

Would appreciate any recommendations or experiences, especially from other beginners or heel strikers.

hey guys, planning to start my running journey as a new hobby. I just wanna do it for fun and as of right now i dont have any plans in joining marathons, its more on getting active and burning fats. I dont have any running shoes to start with but wanting to buy one that is good for beginners like me and can be used as a walking shoe as well or doing errands. A stylish look is a bonus. I do have a couple of brands right now such as nike (vomero plus) which i heard isnt very durable but suits my taste aesthetically. The new balance 1080v15 is also on the list. Looking for more options around the same price range that is reasonable and easily available in canada. For reference, i am 5’5ft tall and weighs around 67kgs.
