Context: I've had this shaver for about 15 years, and it just stopped working. I watched a YouTube video on how to replace the battery, thinking that was the problem since it wouldn't even make a beeping sound. When I opened the shaver up, there was this toothpaste-like buildup on the bottom of the circuit board. Tried wiping it off and charging it, but it's still not working. So is it better to buy a new unit or try to fix it?

Just asking for future reference, in case the original straps ever break.

So, is the first picture a legit Casio store? The second picture has a lot of followers and it only sells watches, but the first picture sells watches and calculators, so I'm not really sure.
