Como sobrevivir siendo psicologo?

Hola.

Algun consejo? Esto es aterrorizante.

Gracias

Looking for a spiritual reading

Hey. I am new to NOLA, and I remember finding a thread on here somewhere that listed people and places that locals recommended to go to if someone wanted to have a genuine palm reading, or spiritual reading, and in this realm of experiences. Stupid me, I didn't write the link down and now I can't find it. (If you do know what I'm talking about, I'd be super thankful if you can send it my way!!)

Otherwise, could anyone local to NOLA recommend someone, outside the people who have distorted the practice for touristic purposes? I dedicate myself to the world of spirituality, and I would be absolutely fascinated and beyond curious to see how it is approached and appreciated in this side of the world.

Thank you for your time!

Has anyone ever taken aya/shrooms while on a GLP-1?

Hello!

I was curious to hear anyone's testimony who's currently on GLP1s and has tried either Ayahuasca or Shrooms? I hear the vomiting can be quite more aggressive, or that you might not even have an experience due to slowed metabolism. I'd love to hear someone's personal journey, and how they felt!

Thank you in advance.

Honest question: what happens when you stop taking the medication?

Hey everyone. I need some advice, especially for people who have gone through this process already, or those who might have information regarding this choice.

So I have hashimotos and pcos, and am currently in a situation where one year ago I was already on the verge of becoming prediabetic. I've tried eating balanced meals, but the food noise genuinely feels like an addiction. I can try to reduce sugar intake, but then I go absolutely up the walls. Can't think of anything else. Craving it like a maniac. And add on to this the binge eating disorder I've been trying to heal and have had no success as of yet (even with therapy).

However, given that this is a precarious situation that can still be reversed, my doctor suggested i take a glp1 (I am also like 45kg overweight).

She told me it would help with food noise, it would drastically reduce inflammation so I don't feel I've been run over by a truck, and it would also help with my pcos symptoms.

The thing is, I'm absolutely terrified. I've yo-yoed my entirely life and I heard that the second you drop the glp1, you regain the weight. And this could create a dependency, and that scares me shitless.

Atp I know it's not about the weight. It's about my health. Maybe it's about getting enough help to work on my lifestyle choices, and heal my eating disorder, and make permanent changes while this drug is aiding me. Not because I hate the body I am in, but because I want to help it so it won't continue to break down on me because it is too tired of sustaining all of my disfunction.

But I also don't know if I can do the whole weightloss/weight gain thing *again*. I am so tired.

Either way, I was wondering if anyone here has gone through this journey themselves. Did it help your hashis? Did it help you? Did you manage to get out of it, eventually? Did your food noise return the moment you got off it?

Any perspective is deeply appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read :)
