Need Advice

Hey everyone, I am a current student wanting to become a nurse specifically in a psych ward. My question is this. How often do ya’ll deal with absolutely disgusting things? Now this might be subjective but here’s the thing. I have the heart to help people and I can deal with gross stuff if need be, but I’m wondering if in the psych area of things if this is a daily occurrence. Due to my own mental health challenges I have compassion for others and want to help how I can but I don’t want to do something I’m not fit for. I also think I may get used to more gross stuff if I do it more often but yeah.

EDIT: thanks everyone for your responses. From what I’m getting it seems there are definitely some pretty gross stuff but people tend to get used to it and in pysch it definitely happens but it’s not like a daily occurrence of extremely disgusting things over and over. However it seems I’ll have a fair share of pretty gross experiences if I work as a nurse for a while! Also seems like location plays a big role in all this and frequency of experiences.

Hot take Is there “A One”

So I know I have heard a lot of different opinions on this but I want to ask y’all’s opinions on if there is a specific person that someone should marry. I know that various prophets and apostles have said that there is not one single person that one is destined marry. But then I also have heard talks saying that you need to intensely study the person you date and make sure they’re the right person before you marry them. So I’m curious what y’all have to say. Also if you think there is “a one” I’m curious if you have only seriously dated one person and that person is who you married. Also to add I believe that it is crucial to become the type of person one would like to marry. And Elder Bednar’s talk where he discusses if there was a perfect person why would they want to marry you.

Edit: I just went back to the posts and saw everyone’s comments. Thanks so much for your answers!

Lithium Effecting Motivation

Hey Ya’ll bipolar 1 here🙋🏼‍♂️ Just got on lithium and it is working. Very well I think. However I am noticing my motivation tank a bit. I’m slowly waning off an ssri because my psych says it hasn’t been helping he thinks, and to be frank I don’t think it was. I think getting completely off that should help some with motivation but I’m a little worried. I am in a short semester taking full time credits and doing homework feels so difficult.(I also have bad adhd so it makes it worse) Any advice on pushing through, or gaining more motivation?

Newly diagnosed

So I was finally diagnosed with bipolar this week. Just curious without recommending medications which ones have worked for ya’ll. Also what habits have helped you. Especially with sleep because every night my body just doesn’t want to sleep. I have a sleeping med which works but I don’t want to take it if that makes sense. It’s so difficult. My schedule is usually wack and I’m a college student trying to find more part time work right now.
