Title. Getting a new laptop (it won't be a windows laptop for reasons extraneous to debate), and was wondering what mac would be best for debate. For context, I currently have an Intel Mac from 2019. It overheats hella when I open more than like five files and has zero battery life. Does anyone with a more recent mac have a laptop that can:

1. Open files quickly (like a 300-400 page file in <3.5 seconds.

2. Have good battery life

3. Not overheat super quickly.

Hi! I was recently writing a supplement for one of my schools about "What the extracurricular you [I] are [am] most proud of" is, and was writing about my experience as a student journalist. In my essay, I address the time that me and a few other reporters addressed anti-(three letter agency) protests in my area. The essay is relatively neutral, discussing how our reporters addressed the issue from multiple different angles to dissuade skewed information, but I'm worried if discussing politics comes off wrong. I don't name-drop the agency, but I do say "[you can guess] enforcement." I'm a polisci major if that makes a difference lol.

Title. Am deciding whether or not to characterize my job as a volunteer phonebanker as an internship or a "Community Service (Volunteer)" on the common app.

Title. I'm thinking of mentioning a time I was at a summer camp at a university (I am applying to this university btw), but am scared of coming off the wrong way when other universities read my ps. im not sure if im being irrational or not.

Edit: To be clear, the focus of the essay is about how this camp shaped my personality, gave me purpose, etc., not a resumé.
