Would you switch email clients in 2026? What would make it worth it?

We’re building Faraday, an AI email client focused on making inbox workflows feel less chaotic — cleaner organization, better thread handling, attachment management, faster search, and reducing manual sorting.

But one thing we keep thinking about is switching cost. Most people stay with Gmail/Outlook even when their inbox feels messy because moving email habits is hard.

For founders / heavy email users:

What would actually make you switch to a new email client?

Was it speed, organization, AI, workflow, privacy, or something else?

Built an AI email client because inboxes still feel broken. Would love honest feedback.

Email still feels way more chaotic than it should- cluttered inboxes, buried follow-ups, messy forwarded threads, and too much manual sorting.

So we started building Faraday.email to make email feel calmer with things like cleaner organization, promptless AI assistance, better thread reconstruction, and a more focused workflow overall.

Curious from other founders / heavy email users — what’s the most frustrating part of your inbox right now?

Why is my college inbox more stressful than my actual classes???

I open my mail for one thing and somehow end up with 20 unread random updates, club stuff, internship mails, and notices.

How are people actually keeping track of this??

Is it just me or does Outlook get messy really fast?

Once emails start piling up, I feel like important stuff gets buried way too easily.

Do you guys mostly rely on folders/rules or just deal with it?
