Helloooo so I’m wanting some advice from many different ages/ crowds..

My boyfriend and I are planning to elope. We have not told my parents.. yet!Although I love them, they are not the most supportive people in the world, they’ve always been that way. They are also not the biggest fan of my partner, with no reasoning other than “they have a bad feeling”. They are the only people who are not supportive and all my other friends, family, and coworkers love him..

Anyways.. I am going to tell them at lunch this weekend. Should I do it by myself or bring him as well? I am not sure of how they will respond but I can guess it will not be positively. I’m not sure if it would be better coming from just me or from the both of us.

I’m just struggling with the thought of them being upset/ disappointed in me even though I am a fully grown woman with an established career, house, happy and successful relationship.. ugh just feeling defeated.. thank you if you’ve read through this.
