Short circuit?

My uncle gave this AirPods to me as a Bday present 2025 October. It started a hour ago, I noticed the chargers aren’t working, and the case is being very hot for the past 1 hour. The case does not emit light. I evacuated my AirPods. Is this going to fix it self if I just kept cooling it down? If it’s going to be broken permanently. ,could I contact Apple and ask for change?
