Size Of A Standard WorldBox Map Using How Long It Takes A Human Unit To Walk From South To North Nonstop

Considerations:

The Humans Stomach Trait was removed to prevent them from dying from hunger, all the area on the map was turned into normal land, the human had the average speed stat of 15 which is the normal speedstat for a base human.

Now It took more than a whole year of nonstop walking but the problem is it was halfway through Crabuary or Worldbox's January but we can use a minimum of 1 year and 2 months as it went from Crabuary(Worldbox's January) To Endeambear(Worldbox's December) and went all the way till Joon(Worldbox's June) on year 2 so at minimum it took 1 year and 2 months of walking nonstop to go from south to north as now we use the average human walking speed

Formula:

An average adult walking speed on flat ground is roughly 4.5 to 5.0 kilometers per hour (km/h).

  • At 4.5 km/h: 10,224 hours × 4.5 km/h = 46,008 km
  • At 5.0 km/h: 10,224 hours × 5.0 km/h = 51,120 km

To put that length into perspective:

  • The Earth's circumference at the equator is about 40,075 km.

Calculate the Dimensions

Because the flat landmass takes the exact same time to cross North-to-South and East-to-West, it forms a perfect square.

In Kilometers:

  • Width & Length: 51,120 km (10,224 hours × 5 km/h).

In Miles:

  • Width & Length: 31,694 miles (10,224 hours × 3.1 mph).

Calculate the Total Area

To find the area, multiply the length by the width. [1]

  • Metric System: ~2.61 billion square kilometers.
  • Imperial System: ~1.00 billion square miles.

Note: This was a rough theory using a calculator and how long it takes a human unit to go from south to north on a standard wordbox world map

an update on religion

Religion should be one of the pillars of a god simulation game like WorldBox. However, it is a system that is still missing today, even though it could make civilizations much more alive.

Each individual should have a faith score indicating their loyalty to their religion. The player could view this score individually or see the percentage of followers in each kingdom. The more a religion has believers with high faith, the more it unlocks bonuses for the nation: greater stability, higher crop yields, increased birth rates, mana generation, stronger morale, and other benefits.

Religious festivals should vary depending on seasons, eras, or beliefs. They could provide unpredictable and funny events. For example, part of the population could become completely drunk and more aggressive, leading to more fights, a temporary drop in productivity, or other unusual situations.

Temples would be the core of each religion. This is where the player could influence beliefs. Each religion would have its own doctrine and mechanics. A repressive religion based on fear and sacrifices, one that forbids other cults, another that regularly organizes pilgrimages, or a more peaceful religion that promotes diplomacy, with different bonuses depending on the level of the religion.

Religions could also evolve over time: becoming more tolerant or more extreme, splitting into different branches, or being reformed by a ruler

However, it is important that religion does not become the central focus of the game. It is not a religion simulation. Some civilizations could develop an atheist trait, where faith gradually disappears in favor of science ,book or philosophy. Others might have a largely non-religious population with no dominant faith. On the other hand, some civilizations could practice a cult of personality, worshipping their king, queen, or other individuals as if they were gods. Others could change religion after a war, a catastrophe, or lose faith and become atheist.

What is something you’ve been wishing to be added to WorldBox?

Ever since I’ve started playing this game, I always wanted them to add more aquatic species, like octopuses. I’m wondering what you guys would want that they did not add yet or isn’t up to your expectations/level.

my dream update

🌍 My Dream Update for WorldBox

First of all, thank you for making such an amazing game! I have some ideas that I think could make WorldBox even deeper while keeping its sandbox style.

💰 Advanced Trade

  • Trade resources, weapons, armor, ships, and magic items.
  • View trade routes, agreements, and which resources kingdoms need.
  • Trade embargoes and sanctions.

👑 Government Systems

Different government types such as Monarchy, Republic, Dictatorship, and Theocracy, each with unique bonuses affecting diplomacy, economy, and military.

⚔️ Better Warfare

  • Army formations (Shield Wall, Spear Formation, Surprise Attack, etc.).
  • Military camps where generals prepare strategies before battles.

🏰 Better Defenses

Upgradeable walls (Wood, Stone, Iron, Steel, Adamantine) and new defensive towers like Archer Towers, Catapults, Cannons, and Multi-Arrow Towers.

🔮 Magic Tower

A very expensive late-game building requiring rare resources and Magic Crystals.

It can:

  • Produce Magic Crystals.
  • Craft magical weapons.
  • Cast kingdom-wide buffs.
  • Launch powerful mana projectiles.

When fully upgraded, it unlocks The Magic World, giving citizens mana and access to many magic schools like Fire, Ice, Wind, Holy, Demonic, Nature, Lightning, Shield, Flight, and more.

🛡️ Magic Shields

Kingdoms can create magical barriers powered by mana. Anti-magic weapons and armor can be developed to balance powerful magic kingdoms.

🦸 Hero System

Units above Level 10 become Heroes with ranks: Bronze → Silver → Gold → Mythril → Steel → Adamantine → Hero King.

Only Heroes can use the strongest magical weapons.

🏭 Heavy Industry

A new building capable of producing large warships, transport ships, siege weapons, cannons, ballistas, catapults, and primitive tanks.

🕵️ Intelligence Agency

Every kingdom can build an Intelligence Headquarters to perform espionage, assassinations, sabotage, kidnappings, and gather information about enemy kingdoms.

🌍 Organizations

Good organizations can protect nature, stop wars, and defeat evil forces.

Evil organizations can destroy the world, eliminate magic, kidnap heroes, build super weapons, manipulate kingdoms, and control the world's economy.

🌎 Internal Politics

Kingdoms could experience cultural, religious, and language conflicts, leading to rebellions, political struggles, new laws, and more interesting diplomacy.

I believe these systems would make WorldBox feel much more alive, strategic, and immersive without losing its sandbox freedom.

Thank you for reading, and I hope some of these ideas inspire future updates! ❤️

Realism-System Progress check 5 (really 5 this time)

Beta testing has begun.

just polishing and adding finishing touches

I'll say this, the two maps shown are both bigger than iceberg, there is some lag on these maps but they are playable, take that as you will,

I plan on releasing this to the public on either Wednesday or Thursday if everything goes according to plan

What you need for the best experience :

for better and precise map sizes install Mapsizes mod (well you don't have too but it is recommended)

for better weather cycles install CoreClears World Engine 3.1

PLEASE GIVE FINAL SUGGESTIONS 🙏🙏

Weird issue for IOS

Hey everybody! I’m new to Reddit and this community!

I’ve always been wondering why my kingdoms, during war, like to kill off MOST of the ppl in villages, and then take over the village. Then, without a lot of intervention, the village will either have homelessness issues or eventually have 0 people. Sometimes, a kingdom just decides to kill everyone off completely and let the village turn blue (when looking from above) and crumple into ruins.

Also, this is for IOS/mobile users.

Dudes got no chill whatsoever

I thought that giving them Soulborne reproduction would ballance things out, but turns out they now use every massacre to cause a population boom on their part

I’ve created a species of Monsters

Muahahahahaha. I now plan on ascending the ruling clan into Vampire Lordship, with even more buffs. However, I’m limiting vampire lord populations to 50. Not every thrall deserves lordship.

Edit: Heliophobia was a bad idea because the age of hope simply turned them into skeleton lords. Documenting behavior

Komodo Dragons and Kobolds!

Komodo Dragons are, y'know, Komodo Dragons, which are giant venomous predatory lizards, and their sapient form are Kobolds, basically a budget version of dragon people.
