Hi guys, so um im really into painting but ive been facing an issue. I really want to paint smth like these paintings. I made one too and it turned out good enough for the first try.

but i have a hard time creating the colors and blending them, like you see theyre using the same color but so many different shades that u can see different each different color and how theyre roughly blended. i even saw the process of the first painting but i cannot understand how to create those colors and the blending process. can someone help pls🙏🏻🙏🏻

i used gold leaf once and it turned black after a few days, like it kinda got rusted or it looks like that, am i doing smth wrong? do i need to secure it with varnish?
