I’m just starting out and would love some tips on bird photography

Gelukkig had ik mijn camera bij me toen ik een rondje ging lopen. Ik kwam deze mega grote Aalscholver tegen.

Spent a while waiting for this rainbow lorikeet to pause for just a second.

Took this picture with my Sony A6000 and a 55–210mm lens. I’m new to bird photography, but I think this one turned out really well. I loved how the flamingo tucked its head into its feathers, leaving just one eye visible.

Normaal gesproken ben ik meer van de straatfotografie, dus binnen de vogel en natuurfotografie voel ik me nog best een beetje een noob. 🤣

Ik heb een betaalbare Sony zoomlens aangeschaft en ben volop aan het oefenen. Dit keer mocht een jong duifje in de achtertuin model staan. 🕊️

Zijn er dingen waarvan jullie achteraf dachten: toen ik hiermee begon, ging ik echt grote stappen maken? Alle tips en adviezen zijn meer dan welkom. Alvast bedankt! 😁

I took these photos of a pigeon that seemed very interested in my lens. It followed me around for quite a while and eventually perched in a tree to watch me from above.
Could the large front element of the lens have attracted its attention, perhaps because of the reflection? I thought it was pretty cool that it ended up looking straight into the camera.

Went for a walk in Kijkduin with my Ricoh GR IIIx and ended up spending far too much time photographing these beautiful Scottish Highlanders. No regrets.

Took my GR IIIx to Scheveningen this evening. The weather was gloomy, the light was beautiful, and the coast felt almost cinematic.

This is my first time using one of the B&W recipes I tweaked a little bit. Still something to get used to, but overall I really like it

I took my compact Lumix TZ80 to the zoo for the first time today. I’ve wanted a small camera with a decent zoom for a while, and I found this one on Marketplace for a bargain. It’s surprisingly capable for such a small and overall inexpensive camera. Here are a few shots from my visit!

Hey everyone!
I just received my first ever Ricoh GR IIIx (Urban Edition) and I’m honestly obsessed already.

I’m still learning the camera and was wondering if anyone here has a good recipe or settings that give a look similar to Kodak Gold 200 (warm, slightly nostalgic, a bit soft but still punchy).

If anyone has something they’ve been using or fine-tuned, I’d love to try it out 🙏
Also open to any general GR IIIx beginner tips!
