Loving our garden today

So after I smelled the Valeriana, I photographed my other garden favourites this afternoon.

And took a video of the bees enjoying the Allium Siculum aka Nectaroscordum aka Sicilian Honey Garlic!

So after gorging themselves on the Valeriana, they move onto the Allium, or the lime green flowers of the Heuchera Cylindrica Greenfinch.

And if you look into the open flowers of the Peonies you may wonder if they've taken a nap there.

And the Indigofera fools them into thinking it is a mini wisteria.

Spring in a Zone 2 London garden

So we had the gardener in today as I am disabled and can't garden the way I did, and he tried hard to dig up an area to put in 6 doronicum plants by the wild flag irises. He eventually managed but mentioned how great the area looked by our pond where he had planted the.

So here it is. Yes that is our pond - very full of newts - with bullrushes rising out of it, and in the background our wisteria and crab apple with flowers now fading. You will see vinca, wild geraniums, persicaria, corncockle, vetch, and nettles too, for the bumble nest in the ground there. Which thrills us as it is the third year at least that we have had a ground nest of bumbles by that pond. Hope you agree it looks good for wild life.

After the original plant drowned in a flood, a root came back to life and this year the plant is fabulous. And the scent is amazing.
