The stairs to my loft are too steep for my dog.

The stairs are much more steep than it may seem in the pictures (estimated 75-77°). I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get wrecked climbing down the stairs, but my main concern is my 50lbs dog. I think he might be able to climb up but definitely too dangerous to climb down. Any renter-friendly and non-damaging ideas to make the stairs accessible for my dog to safely get up to the loft?
