Eliminator WIP - feathers on camo cloak?

Eliminator WIP - feathers on camo cloak?

Looking for feedback. I think I like it but not fully sure. I might apply a couple washes. Anyone else painted a bunch of freehand feathers or have ref? I couldn't find any so YOLO'ed it

I'm going to invert the feathers on the top of the cloak (the part that goes over the to of the backpack) as it looks a bit weird from the front

Tycho's 3rd Company (circa 941.M41) - All done for now!

Finally finished my two year project! Full pics and description in post. I love that the 11e box is Armageddon-themed and it's given me the push to finish in time.

Advice on painting an OG knight please

I've been repainting my blood angel army from 30 years ago. Nearly done with them now and I'm already thinking about my 5 grey knight terminator squad (pictured)

I've tried repainting these twice so far but I'm having a lot of trouble with the colour scheme and getting the textured surfaces on this mini right. Have you guys seen any successful schemes for this at all or similar textured minis?

edit: my painting is getting better, here's my latest space vampires https://www.reddit.com/r/BloodAngels/comments/1tu5but/army_update_og_terminators_and_apocethary/

I think I could probably do some passable nmm on grey if that was the way forwards. tmm is not really looking so that great imo

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Army Update - OG Terminators and Apocethary

Few more pics of my OG army, I painted up the classic terminator captain (as a sergeant, but with a remix of his banner from the original terminator box set art) and a couple more of my close combat terminators.

These were from the first batch of indomitus pattern, released I think in 1985 with the captain in 1989.

Then an apothecary. Man I feel for those White Scars players, white is hard to paint!

Updated army pic now has my dreadnought, rebased to match the new paint job. I kept him as he was the best mini I painted when I was a teenager.

Only got four more until I call this army done: a lightning claw terminator, then a techmarine and veteran sergeant from the old command squad, and a chunky plastic monopose lad. Hopefully finished in time for Armageddon 🤞

Army Update - Tycho's 3rd Company

It's been another six months, so here's some updates on my old metal 2e chaps. Added some scouts, jump pack assault marines, death company squad and a chaplain. I also got a full army pic about 5 slides in, and some pics of the older guys if you missed my first army post.

The devastators are repaints of my first minis from 30+ years ago. Tycho's Rhino and Dennis the Dreadnought are both eBay rescues, I've linked some older posts with WIP if you're into that sort of thing. It's pretty sweet that Games Workshop are bringing 11e back to Armageddon, so my chaps get to be relevant again 🩸🪽

Any suggestions on what this army is missing? I've 6 more scouts, a techmarine, apothecary, and the rest of the terminator squad (OG hammer guys from before they beefed up the hammers) in the queue.
