“Not creepy…I can vouch for him”. Yes, yes, because Caroline is famously known to be a good judge of character. Also, lmao off at her admitting to being black out drunk while coming home to her brand new apartment.
Please help me find a video. It was shot by a camera man who accidentally made it inside the area before the second tower fell. He filmed the entire collapse, including being engulfed by the ashes and dust. He did many famous interviews with people who were fleeing.
The video is from the point of view of the camera man. He was inside the area that was closed to the public just after the first tower fell. He shoots himself walking through the area. There are many places covered in dust, blown out windows, crushed emergency vehicles, the sounds of firefighter’s alarms going off is a constant as he walks around.
He starts interviewing people who made it out. There is one guy who I think got famous later? He’s a blonde guy and he says he helped a woman in a wheelchair get out. He says he carried her down something like 30 floors but that they got lost in the chaos near the ground floor.
There’s also a shot in the aftermath of both towers falling of a guy carrying his coworkers work bags. The camera man asks if he can interview him and the guy says, “No, I’ve had a bad day”, and then we see him walk away, dragging the bags through the dust of the debris. The bags leave a trail in the dust.
Before the second tower falls he shoots some pigeons on the sidewalk. They are amidst the dust and debris. They are calm and acting like normal pigeons. It’s a beautiful and strange moment.
He films the second tower falling. He crouches down near a fence and the tower crushes everything. We see the debris rolling towards the camera, then everything goes black. Minutes pass, then we hear the camera man coughing. He clears the camera lens. He’s survived. He gets up and immediately begins filing again. It’s still too dusty to see. We hear someone saying to follow the fence to get “out”. Someone else is saying “where is Schmitty? Has anyone seen Schmitty?”
Does anyone else remember this and know where to find it?
