I absolutely love this updated take on Jirass from Tanaka. I had to get this piece and try my hand at it. I know it's technically another Kaiju but in this sculpt you can see Tanaka's redesign of a 1960's Godzilla mostly mosu-goji imo. Incredible.
Hit the colors the client wanted but I love how this came out overall even though I would have done a few little details differently
I hope I haven't posted this before, sorry if it's a repeat.
I have a couple of these in different poses, I did this one first. Really cool little piece and love the pose, wish the face had more detail though. The other model has a more detailed face so excited to see what I can do with that.
Sort of bittersweet posting this. This guy might be the best painted mini I did at this excruciatingly small size. However, go figure I would drop it and break off the center and most prominent red feather on his crown piece and I can't find it. So after some grieving (and a lot of self loathing) I have tried sculpting a replacement piece out of clay and I'm not thrilled with it yet. So hopefully it turns up before I vacuum all the floors and maybe I'll get to post a new pic of it post some minor surgery
I've done like 7 of these kits, this one is one of my favorites.
I have no idea where it's from, it came free from a vendor on Etsy as compensation for delays on my order. I really had a hard time figuring out a color palette, but just used it to experiment with colors.
I am really happy how this one came out, it's not perfect but in-hand I love it.
Went for a gritty, ancient look.
Trying to get used to do things at such a small scale, I have better luck with monsters and creatures than humans lol
He is hoping to get it approved so it can be licensed and sold as a kit for a one day license at summer Wonderfest. But regardless if it does or does not, this is spectacular. I love this.

Did finish this sea Monster mini, happy with how it came out
I'm very impressed with what you all do on here, it's amazing how amazing the minis you all create at such a small scale. I'm still trying to learn human skin tones but I hand painted this Athena. Lots of room for improvement but really fun to do.
