I’m trying and struggling to connect my first Aqara device (Door Sensor p2).
What I’d like to do is using the Aqara Home app, connect it to my Amazon Echo hub that is Matter capable.
The problem I’m having is that when I’m in the Aqara App, it just can’t seem to “see” or connect the sensor to the Echo device. I e tried to search this, but just can’t find the answer.
I’ve enabled the skill in the Alexa device and in the Aqara App so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
New GoMad bike which I love.. I ran the battery down to about 20%, pulled it off the bike to charge it up.
Battery charged until it was full and I reinstalled the battery, got the good click, turned on the computer and it said battery was at 100%. I then turned it off at the switch, but now I’m getting a random beep from the bike when it’s off.
I couldn’t figure out what in the garage was beeping and I kept timing it with my cell phone to try to anticipate when it would go next. I validated that it was the bike but I have no idea why the random BEEP it’s throwing off.
Any ideas?
I searched here and didn’t see anything but the manual said to pull the battery and leave it for 10 minutes then reinstall. I’m currently in the middle of that.
Here visiting for the holiday. Are there any good local roadside fruit/farm stands to get some peaches and corn and whatever else we can source from a small local farm?
I’m keeping my eyes peeled on the roads, but haven’t seen one yet.
So I got my Gomad in today and I’m doing the assembly myself and two observations where Velotric isn’t really paying attention at all to their product and its things like this that separates good companies from those that just cash checks.
First a simple one, but the spacers for the control display are just WAY too big. It’s impossible to get the clips to seat. I tried it a gazillion different ways and the rubber spacers are just way too thick for the handlebars. Not a big problem, I ordered some smaller ones on amazon but it’s just a detail that makes you start questioning the rest of the quality.
Secondly and a much bigger issue is the mounting of the dual/center kickstand. You can see in the second picture where the kickstand should mount (bike turned upside down) the problem is that they do a nice job with wiring the control wires so tight that it’s near impossible to get the kickstand actually in to seat correctly. There is next to zero play/slack in those cables that I had cut the tie that was holding them in place and I got a little prybar in behind the cables in order to hold them JUST enough away to get the kickstand in. I’m a little worried that the now even tighter cables are going to give me a problem in the future. Mostly worried about the brake cable. Oh yeah and actually getting the screws to bite took me more time to get correct than the time to assemble the rest of the bike.
Anywho… just sharing.
Well my exciting day was quickly deflated. Just got my first ebike a GoMad today and was jumping to get it and assemble it to get rolling… BUT…. The day was turned around when the bike came off the FedEx truck and had a big puncture hole in it.
I tried to keep positive hoping it was just box damage, but unfortunately there was a gouge scraped from the side of the downtube and battery cover. The bike must have taken a pretty good stab from something during shipping.
So far Velotric has shown positive support. They answered my email on a Saturday which per their website is outside of business hours and is setting up a pickup and replacement. I’m waiting on pins and needles hoping their customer service continues to shine and they make this right quickly so we can get zipping around the neighborhood… Velotric… this is your time to shine (I hope)
-upset in Atlanta.
What is the consensus about running water thru the heater all summer long? Does anyone bypass/disconnect their heaters from water flow for the summers?
