Low internet bars on my laptop but high bars on other devices

Hello! I recently just moved into a Apartment building and my laptop is always on 2 or 1 bars even tho all my other devices (Phone and Ipad) are on full. It also cant load anything. I’ve tried restarting my laptop multiple times but still the same outcome. I have no access to the Router because its shared by everyone in the building. What do i do?

work makeup

Hello everyone! Starting August 1st im going to be starting my Apprenticeship in a family-owned Hotel. During my internship (in another hotel) i was told to wear makeup, since my parents were on vacation during the time i didn’t have the money or knowledge on what to do😅 I only wore mascara and curled my lashes. I felt like that wasn’t enough, so im wondering what i need to have a “simple” makeup look for work. Thank you!

“too much butter” rule

Gonna try here, sorry to everyone i offended last time. Recently went to the Belgium countryside to stay at my friend’s grandma’s place, with our other friend too, To make it seem less confusing the friend we visited will be called L and the other friend is J. Me and J went by all the rules we knew from our household. Keep in mind neither of us has grown up in Europe. (Or well, J did live there for awhile but he moves around the world a lot because of his dads work) Anyway, we thought we did everything right and the grandma was satisfied. According to L, they are “unspoken” or “social norm” rules in a european household. When me and J asked what they were he told us, as an example: “Using too much butter on your bread”. Me and J were shocked hearing this because neither of us has ever heard of this rule before. My father who has grown up in Germany, never told me this, neither has my grandparents during the time i visited. Is this true?

“too much butter” rule?

I was gonna post this on r/Europe but doesnt seem like i can. So recently i went to my friend’s grandma’s house (the countryside of Belgium) and followed all basic rules, cleaning up after myself, leaving the shoes outside etc etc. Today my friend told me his grandma doesn’t want people in his house anymore because we (my other friend was there too) didnt follow the “social norms” of europeans household rules. When i asked him what it was, he said: “You used too much butter on your bread”. I was baffled reading this. Mind you, i AM european. My father is german but we never lived in Europe. I have NEVER heard of this rule, ever! He kept arguing that we should’ve known because its “the norm” but me and my friend has NEVER lived in Europe. I have been to plenty of european housesholds and ive never heard this rule before. Is this real?

EDIT: Ok didnt think it would tickle you guys pickle so much that i said im european and never lived in europe.. Sorry! I live in Germany now tho.

Requirements to go to Brazil as a minor

Hello again! I [17F] am planning on visting my BF [16M] in december, he lives in Brasilia. I am currently living alone (Apartment funded by the company im working in) and i have to travel alone to Brazil. I was wondering what are the requirements to go to brazil as a minor? I’m going to stay with him and his parents. I’ve read somewhere that it takes a lot of paper work but im not super sure what i need? All i know is i obviously need a Consent slip from my parents. I live in Mecklenburg Vorpommen, so im also wondering what’s the best way to get there, that is less than 2000€? Thank you!

Learning brazilian portuguese

Hello! I’m not really sure which subreddit to post this on so im gonna try here. Me and my BF have been dating for awhile now and hes been taking german classes after his regular classes twice a week for a few months now. He’s been begging me to learn portuguese so i can speak with his family better. I am starting my job soon and i live in a pretty rural area (were long distance). There are cities close to me but i cant afford to go there a lot and may be too tired after work. Till now i havent found any physical classes i could take that isn’t hours away from me. So i’m wondering, what’s the best way for me to learn? Books? Online Tutors? Please recommend me something, it would be very helpful! Thank you!

Im starting an Ausbildung soon and im scared they will think my german isnt as good as they thought

I grew up in the Philippines, im half german and half filipino. I started learning german growing up and went to a german school. I only spoke german in class and to my father, other than that, it was only english! My mother never learned german and my dad wasnt home a lot (due to work) so i mostly spoke english. This obviously made my german skills not as good as the others which has caused me to fail german in school a lot! When i started sending Bewerbungen, my dad would tell me what to write, every single word. I don’t think they know. Before my Interview my dad made me come up with an answer to every possible question. (They did ask everything i practiced) But they were mostly stuff my dad said that i just memorised. I am currently in germany and ive noticed i sometimes have trouble remembering the right words and having to use English, which makes me feel stupid. I have a B1 level in german (according to a german level test i took in a language learning course). I’m starting my Ausbildung soon and i am scared they will realise my german isn’t as good as they thought 😣
