18F in Florence today, Rome (Vatican) until July 10 – would love to meet Italians 🇮🇹

Hi! I’m 18 , traveling with my sister. I’m in Florence today and tomorrow morning, then I’ll be in Rome (near the Vatican) until July 10.

I’d love to meet some Italians around my age (17–22) to chat, explore the city, grab a gelato or coffee, and experience Italy through local recommendations. I’m also happy to meet fellow travelers!

If you’re around, feel free to comment or send me a DM.

Traveling Florence with my sister—looking to meet people our age!

Okay... I heard Italian guys were attractive, but I didn't expect Florence to prove the rumors right. 😂🇮🇹

I'm 18 and visiting for a few days with my sister. Any recommendations for places where people around my age hang out? Cafés, parks, events, or anywhere it's easy to meet other teens or travelers?

Not looking for anything weird—just hoping to make some friends before I leave!

4-day Florence itinerary suggestions? First time visiting with my sister 🇮🇹

Hi everyone!

My sister and I (first-time visitors) will be staying in Florence from June 30 to July 4. Our Airbnb is on Via Francesco Puccinotti, so we’ll be based just outside the historic center.

We’re looking for recommendations on:

•	Must-see attractions (we’re planning to visit the Duomo and Uffizi Gallery)

•	Hidden gems that tourists often miss

•	Best food spots (especially authentic pasta, pizza, gelato, and tiramisu)

•	Sunset viewpoints

•	Nightlife or evening areas that are safe and fun to walk around

•	Day trips (Pisa, Siena, or Cinque Terre—what would you recommend?)

•	Any museums or attractions we should book in advance

•	Tips for getting around using public transport

We’ll be arriving in Florence late at night by train from Rome, so any advice for our first evening is also appreciated.

18F Moving to Paris in September – Looking for Housing Advice & Friends 🇫🇷

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm an 18F international student who will be moving to Paris this September for university. My campus is in the 15th arrondissement, and I'm currently trying to figure out where it would be most convenient and safe to live.

I'd love any advice on neighborhoods that are student-friendly, safe, reasonably well-connected by public transport, and practical for commuting to the 15th.

I'm also hoping to make some friends before I arrive! 😊 I think it would be nice to get to know people online first and build some connections before meeting up in person once I'm settled in Paris.

A little about me: I'm into filmmaking, cinema, art, travel, exploring cafés, and discovering new places. If you're a student, moving to Paris soon, or already living there, feel free to reach out and tell me a bit about yourself!

Thanks in advance for any accommodation tips or friendship recommendations 🇫🇷✨

International student looking for accommodation near Paris 15th / Issy-les-Moulineaux ?

Hi everyone,

I'm an international student moving to Paris this September and I'm looking for accommodation near Paris 15th, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Vanves, or Boulogne-Billancourt.

My budget is around €800–900/month.

I'm open to:• A studio apartment• A student residence• A shared apartment (colocation) with a private bedroom and preferably a private bathroom

My priorities are:• Safe neighborhood• Good metro/public transport connections• Furnished accommodation• Easy commute to the Issy/Paris 15th area

I've been searching through Leboncoin, SeLoger, Studapart, and other platforms. Unfortunately, Leboncoin requires a European phone number for account verification, which I don't currently have as an international student.

If anyone knows of available rentals, student residences, trusted landlords, Facebook groups, or has recommendations for neighborhoods that fit my budget, I would really appreciate the help.

I'd also love to hear from other international students about how they found accommodation before arriving in France.

Thank you so much for any advice or leads!

First Italy Trip Itinerary (2 Sisters, July 2026)

Hi everyone!

My sister and I are planning our first trip to Italy and would love some advice.

Dates: June 30 – July 7

Current plan:

•	Milan: 2 nights

•	Florence: 2 nights

•	Rome: 3 nights

We’re trying to keep the trip relaxed rather than rushing around. July 5 is my sister’s birthday, so we’d like to spend the entire day in Rome without any travel.

We’re also considering booking a round-trip flight to Milan because it’s cheaper than flying into Milan and out of Rome, and then taking a high-speed train back to Milan before our return flight.

Questions:

Is 2 nights in Milan worth it, or should we reduce Milan and add another night to Florence or Rome?

Is this itinerary too rushed or reasonably paced?

Any hotel areas you would recommend in Milan, Florence, and Rome?

Any must-do experiences we are missing?

Is returning to Milan for the flight home worth the savings?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Student looking for accommodation in Paris 15th, Issy or Vanves

Hi everyone :)

I'm moving to Paris this September and I'm currently looking for accommodation in Paris 15th, Issy-les-Moulineaux, or Vanves.

I'm looking for a studio or student residence. If you know of any available places, reliable websites, or have any recommendations, I'd really appreciate it!

Anyone joining ESRA Paris this September?

Heyy :)

I'll be joining ESRA Paris this September. I was wondering if anyone else here is starting this year or is already studying there?

I'm really excited about moving to Paris, but honestly a little nervous too since it'll be my first time living abroad. I've always loved films and storytelling, which is what led me to choose film school in the first place.

Outside of that, I love music, travelling, discovering cute cafés, and exploring new places. I'm hoping to meet some people before the semester starts because I currently know almost nobody in Paris 😭

So yeah, if you're joining ESRA, studying in Paris, or just want to chat, feel free to reach out!

Anyone going to ESRA Paris this year? Looking to make friends

Hi everyone!

I’ve recently been accepted to ESRA Paris for Film Studies, and I’m really excited (and a little nervous) about moving to Paris.

I’d love to connect with other students who are going to ESRA this year or are already studying there. It would be great to make some friends before classes start and hear about your experiences with the school.

A few things I’m curious about:

•	What’s the atmosphere like at ESRA?

•	How are the professors and practical film projects?

•	What’s student life like in Paris?

•	Any advice for international students?

Feel free to comment or send me a message. It would be nice to meet people before the semester begins!
