Clinical informatics

Hi all!
Wondering if it is possible to get into clinical informatics specialist role without clinical experience. I have a HIM background, then became an Epic consultant with Microsoft, and now a consultant helping clinics improve their epic builds for better revenue outcomes. Is this enough?

Also would love your experience as a clinical information specialist at an entry level.

Structural engineer/ house recs

Anyone have a recommendation for a structural engineer?? Just bought a fixer upper in south seattle as a first time home owner and want to make sure I am doing everything by the book! Someone you guys trust with reasonable prices.

Also, if you have any decent landscapers to help just fix the front yard up a little that would be great

Solo in Stockholm, Glasgow and Edinburgh

What a trip. I just took my first solo trip to the cities listed in the title. I was soooo worried being on my own, being bored, or being stared at (traveling as a black woman, it tends to happen). I think it will be a standard to take a solo trip once a year now. It was refreshing doing whatever I wanted. Stockholm felt safe, food was fantastic, and the city is super walkable. I will say it is a little on the pricer side. Scotland as a whole was phenomenal. I left wanting to move to Glasgow. The people are soooo nice and helpful and funny. I never felt unsafe even around drunk people. There is so much to do and see. Compared to Sweden, I felt like Scotland was easier to meet other solo travelers if you aren’t staying in a hostel and people tend to be easier to talk to. Definitely recommend it, especially if you are in your 30s, have never done solo travel and want to. Just go for it. Thank you to all the ladies on this thread that helped push me to go.

Bucket handle tear

Hi all! I partially tore my meniscus when I was 16 and did not get surgery on it. Now at 32, it has bit me on the ass and cysts have formed, it’s turned into a bucket handle tear and needs surgery now. Idk why I am terrified, I’ve never had surgery and I am panicking. Since it’s such an old injury and the lateral side of my knee is almost bone on bone, it’s a removal of the meniscus at this point versus a repair, anyone have anything similar? How’s it going for you? How was surgery and recovery? Thank you

Hi,

I have an interview with CSH for an informatics analyst role. Wondering if anyone has insight on working here and pros and cons.

Thank you!
