New Companies that Utilize AI at the core of their business model

I have been searching like a mad man for relatively new companies that utilize AI at the core of their business models.

It is very clear that LLMs and all the associated hardware and infrastructure is the first big wave of AI.

I believe it’s just as clear that companies utilizing these LLMs at the core of their business is the next big wave. However, finding new companies that have been built from the ground up utilizing LLM technology at the core of their business is a little harder to find. After doing a few weeks of research here are the companies that meet this criteria and stand out to me:

Tempus ($TEM) - Utilizes artificial intelligence and large scale data to build precision medicine tools for healthcare and life sciences.

Ethos Technologies ($LIFE) - A digital life insurance and financial technology platform that simplifies how life insurance is bought, sold, and administered. Utilizing AI for underwriting and process efficiency.

Pattern Group ($Ptrn) - Utilizes AI as a global e-commerce accelerator that helps consumer brands grow, manage, and scale their online sales across global marketplaces

Aurora ($AUR) - Utilizes AI for automated long haul freight trucking. (Other smaller public companies that look even more promising)

Schrödinger ($SDGR) - Uses AI and simulates real world physics and chemistry to discover new drugs.

All 5 of these companies utilize AI at their core and provide huge improvements compared to their competitors who are not utilizing AI. The ground up approach is very important, because they do not need to pivot or fire employees like large legacy companies in similar fields.

Would love to hear about more companies from you guys that fit this criteria. Would also like to hear your thoughts on the companies I listed.

I have positions in 4 of these companies (and a small competitor to AUR) that I cannot mention on this sub because it’s a penny stock. I plan to add to my positions in the near future.

Not financial advice. Do your own research. Cheers.

Companies that utilize blockchain as a tool

The past decade, there has been a standoff between traditional finance and crypto. They have been seen as two separate worlds that cannot exist harmoniously - a silent war has been raging between them since 2010 and beyond.

Traditional finance has viewed crypto as a threat to the status quo. Crypto has seen traditional finance as the “enemy” of the people.

As of late, there has been a noticeable shift. A convergence. Many public companies are beginning to understand that the underlying technology behind crypto, the blockchain, is an extremely efficient and useful tool.

Blockchain is no longer seen as a big scary monster that is going to destroy the financial system. It is now seen as a technology that can 10x efficiency and help transactions settle in a tenth of the time.

One company that has fully grasped this idea and ran with it is Figure technologies. $FIGR. This fintech company is utilizing the Provenance blockchain to settle, Helocs, home equity loans and much more. With the use of the Provenance blockchain it has reduced the HELOC application to funding time from 42 days to 10 days and cut the cost from 12K to 1K. This perfectly showcases how useful blockchain technology can be for public companies.

Would love to hear about more companies that are utilizing blockchain as a tool and some details about how it makes their company run more efficiently.

I have opened a position in $FIGR. DYOR. NFA.

Provenance Blockchain

Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on provenance blockchain and the company Figure technologies?

Figure technologies utilizes the provenance blockchain to tokenize real world assets like mortgages and home equity loans.

Provenance is a proof of stake blockchain built with cosmos and has a maximum of 100 Validators. It can only be used for certain functions so it doesn’t get bogged down by meme tokens, NFTs and other use cases that would increase on chain data.

My main concern is centralization and security.

Security seems to be very solid due to the fact that they only focus on certain functions so the smart contracts can be buttoned up very tightly and there are less attack vectors.

The top 10 validators hold 44% of the native token, hash, which is my main concern. But I would imagine more large companies will want to become validators as the chain and company continues to gain traction.

Any additional pros or cons would be great to hear.

HOVR Bull Case

Plain and simple eVTOLS are better than helicopters and propellor planes in almost every way.

- Cost per mile is significantly reduced
- Safety is drastically increased due to redundancy
- Much quieter than helicopters and prop planes
- No runway required, the speed of a propellor plane with the vertical take off ability of a helicopter.
- Hybrid electric options increase efficiency and reliability.

Over the next 10-20 years we are going to see an almost complete replacement of traditional helicopters and propellor planes. With almost all benefits and very little downside, purchasing a helicopter or propellor plane over an VTOL will be senseless. Especially with hybrid options, like HOVR provides.

Air taxis, med flights, military cargo delivery, disaster relief will all drastically benefit from VTOLs. I would imagine the sales of VTOLs to 5x-10x the yearly sales of helicopters and propellor planes as the technology continues to improve.

Not to overstate how revolutionary these aircraft are, but I don’t think it is unreasonable to compare it to the transition from horse and buggy to gas powered automobiles.

Only time will tell, would love to hear everyone thoughts.

HOVR, JOBY, ACHR, EVTL Bear Case

I have been very interested in the eVTOL space recently. The technology is very promising and I can see why the whole sector is getting a lot of attention recently. But, I have some concerns.

Based on current estimates there are 40,000 to 70,000 helicopters in the world and roughly 160,000 propellor planes in the world. Let’s say eVTOLs replace every helicopter and propellor plane in the world. That’s only 230,000 eVTOLs. Now let’s say they sell 4X as many over the next 20 years, cause the technology / functionality is undoubtably better in almost every way. That is still under 1 million eVTOLs.

Now to put this in perspective there are 1.6 billion cars on earth. Sure, an eVTOL will cost a lot more than a car, but will the profit margins be much better? Doubtful.

Now split these million units of eVTOLs amongst the biggest players in the game right now, Joby, archer, vertical, Horizon. You’re left with only a quarter of a million for each company.

HOVR still has a very small market cap compared to the completion, but in my opinion the competitions market caps are outrageously high and the sector will correct before HOVR can reach valuations of 10 billion like JOBY.

You don’t see people getting excited about propeller planes and helicopter stocks. Not sure why there is so much hype for the eVTOL sector.

With all that said, I do have a small position in HOVR and EVTL. But I think the hype around them is completely overblown, and the market for these aircraft will be smaller than people are anticipating. Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves here, folks.

Would love to hear your thoughts and any counter arguments.

The Next Big Sector!

The last 5 years or so have been dominated by 5 sectors:

- AI

- Space

- Robotics

- Nuclear

- Quantum

With companies like NVDIA, RKLB, SYM, OKLO and IONQ stealing the show, I think it’s time to look into new sectors to find the next BIG names.

I would love to hear everyone’s opinion on what the next big sector will be, and what stock will dominate that sector.

Here are a few of my favorite new sectors that I have been researching lately:

- Synthetic Biology

- Neuromorphic computing

- Advanced materials

- spatial computing / extended reality

- EVTOL

If you have any promising stocks from these 5 sectors I’d be interested in hearing about them and learning about why you think they are promising.

The more I research stocks, the more excited I get about the future. Would love to hear about stocks from new, cutting edge sectors, that get you excited!

VTOL Advantages

Okay, so from what I understand, VTOLs are like faster helicopters. They can land and takeoff wherever helicopters do, and fly as fast as a prop plane. EVTOLs and hybrids are also more environmentally friendly which is a plus too. Are there any other big advantages?

This simple fact alone is a game changer, but would love to hear some other pros that I’m not thinking of.

I just opened a small position and I’m debating if I should add to it.
