If both musicals are canon, that means Erik ends up back in the Paris Opera house after LND (heavily implied in Prologue of stage show, outright stated in 2004 movie ending). I'm picturing some sort of shared custody, upstairs daddy for regular schooling, downstairs daddy for music tutorials
Although Erik would pay for everything if Raoul had lots of debts.

Don't know if it was a deliberate decision by ALW, but noticed Erik always refers to Raoul as Monsieur/Sir, right up until he lassos him. In 'Order your fine horses now' he only uses you/your but never calls him names*. In contrast Raoul uses many names for Erik, some nicer than others.
*At most, he twice refers to him as your lover to Christine, which I feel is more a dig at Christine than Raoul.
