Are these just too many outings?...

I'm not big on team outings in the first place. Especially if it takes place on what should be my time (lunch).

In the past 2 weeks, we've had a pizza party, had to watch a documentary as a team during lunch, went out to lunch as a team and we all had to pay (which didn't seem to bother anyone except it would have been nice to know since I can't afford it!), department picnic, and finally another team outing next week.

In my opinion, that's too much! And our boss keeps bit**ing that millennials "ruined happy hour" after work is done for the day. ... no.... we just want to go home....

Update: we have another lunch celebration today in the office. The treat is cereal 🤔

Getting a locker worth it?

Probably depends on how many people in your group and needs, but I'm going solo this time. Has anyone gotten one in the past, was it worth the extra expense?

Edit: thanks everyone, super helpful! Edit: just got some lockers, thanks for making this an easy decision :D

Overlapping bands doable?

Friday I'm really looking forward to rise against, pixies, and want to check out GWAR live. They all overlap by about 15 minutes. How doable to check out all 3 of I sacrifice some time at each stage?

Back of heel on high tops keep slipping

This is the first time I bought a new pair of chucks in over 10 years and didn't know they changed to a kind of nylon for the inside lining. When I walk it keeps slipping off my heel...a lot. It'll probably get worse the more they break in too. Anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it or hack it? The new ones seem really inconsistent too. I bought 2 pairs to see if it was a one off, but the entire right shoe is smaller on one pair. What's up converse!?

Apartment Lounge cancelled pride block party because corp. sponsor backed out

Apartment Lounge usually throws a really fun block party during pride month but announced they had to cancel because the main sponsor backed out.

“They just said, ‘We don’t have any cash, any money left for DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) or Pride,'”

I really hope they put together a Kickstarter and community rallies to make it happen. Heartbroken and mad for them

what is being built next to argo's book shop?

In the title. I still don't see a sign anywhere indicating what it's going to be, unless I'm just completely blind lol. It looks like a big out of place eyesore
