Trying to Help My Dad Connect to New Wi Fi

The instructions AT&T gave him are just printed results from a google search and say to press buttons on the remote that literally do not exist on the remote he has. I have no idea if this is an older model. All I know is he switched wireless carriers and needs to update the WiFi on his television and I cannot figure out what needs to happen. The remote has like 8 buttons total and none of them do anything near getting to a settings menu.

Supporting a Young Family Member

I have a young family member who just came out to me as non-binary. To be honest, I'm not even sure what that means or entails. I've obviously heard of it. And I did do some research, but it seems like there are a lot of different explanations. They asked me to use they/them pronouns, but other than that - is there anything I should know, do, or not do? I told them I love and support them and just want them to be happy. I'm just so worried about bullying, etc. So I want to be as safe a space as possible. Thank you! ETA - removing age since I think they look at Reddit.

Phone Agents Providing Misinformation and Untruths

I called Xifinity to ask about cancelling my wireless service. At that point, I had another carrier for mobile and cable. When the rep asked me who I was considering and why - I said I was going to bundle with another carrier. He told me he could give me a much lower wireless price and it would include my mobile. He also told me I could upgrade my devices at a large discount, possibly even free depending on what I chose. Much later when the second device could not be activated with the SIM card Xfinity mailed to me, I learned by store employees that none of that was true. I had to go to the store after spending hours with agents on chat and the phone trying to get the device activated. The "easy process" I was promised did not work and in the end, the agents told me I had to go to the store for resolution. When I asked about upgrading my phone, I was told I'd need to pay full price. I told the employee I was given other information on the phone. He said this happens all of the time - customers come into the store because what they were promised on the phone by Xfinity agents turns out to be false and that the people on the phone promise anything to get customers to switch services. I've already moved my services to another carrier. I can't understand how a company operates this way, gets away with it, and doesn't seem to care about the customer response.
