Windsurf Upcharge

Windsurf Upcharge

So I still use windsurf for work since my boss pays for it. It's his money not mine so I really shouldn't be complaining. BUT! I recently bought some Deepseek credits for my own personal use for personal projects and such and noticed the insane premium that Cognition is putting on their api keys. I'm not even gonna add any kind of commentary on this. These guys must be making bank. It seems to me that the best economic route is to use Zed with BYOK for providers.

Deepseek V4 Pro on Windsurf costs $3.48 per 1M Output Tokens

DeepSeek V4 Pro on Deepseek costs $0.87 per 1M Output Tokens

Music Samples/References in Persona 5

I was listening to some acid jazz while working and came across some songs that seem like they were sampled for Persona 5's soundtrack. I tried googling it but I didn't find much conversation about it. I wanna write it down incase other people who like finding samples find this. I'll edit with more findings as I keep listening.

Whatchugot - the first couple of seconds (3 seconds in) are the church organs you hear in idle music so often

Turn On, Tune In, Cop Out - idk how to describe it but 3 min, 11 seconds in you can hear what I'm talking about.

Also I recommend you listen to this while working, I really got into the groove while working. I love me some acid jazz.

I have a semi-beefy computer (i9 CPU, 3060ti, 32gb ram) that I built in 2020. However I do not need it at all anymore. I don't pirate stuff and I don't need a home server (I have a separate NAS for files). The PC can run some AI models but the energy cost to token output ratio is not good enough to consider this a self-hosted solution.

My macbook pro does everything I need and more. I was wondering if there was any use for the PC besides gaming? I'm basically holding onto it until Valve announces the Steam Machine so I can put that new SteamOS on my computer and turn it into a second console (but I'm not sure if they're gonna support intel CPUs out of the gate).

I'm kinda emotionally attached to it so I don't wanna let it go - but I need a reason to keep it besides nostalgia.

Any ideas?
