I'm spending too much

Funny post, but I'm a long time pokemon fan, but I just got into the hobby 2 Months ago the moment I realized I finally had room to do a hobby.

I'm a graduating college student, so I don't have a lot of money yet, but I've already spent 6000 pesos worth of cards (according to Collectr) LOL!

I switched to Japanese and only bought single cards 1 month into the hobby after I noticed my love for Art rares and just good art in general.

After realizing I've spent too much, i placed a 500 pesos limit on myself weekly. Now, I just go for Art Rares that are below 500 pesos which suprised me how many there are.

I'm having a lot of fun collecting beautiful cards so far lol. that's about it.

I'm A Good Person.

I don't have any life-threatening addiction like alcohol or smoking, and I like to stay away from clubs and prefer an isolated environment. I have friends that love me, a girlfriend that loves me.

During my 23 years of living, I've only ever had three relationship including one I have right now that's going strong for 2 years. I never cheated on her, and never thought of cheating on her.

I've been maintaining a scholarship for 4 years despite being an Engineering Student, allowing my parents to breathe and keeping this wallets ~50k fatter every semester. I'm about to graduate, with one last hurdle before me.

I've lived with a principle, self-promise, and with honor (I know it's cringe).

Yet, I feel so dissatisfied with myself. I feel like a failure with no meaningful achievements to show. Hell, because of my clumsiness, my graduation might even be delayed for a semester. I feel so empty, with anxiety slowly eating inside of me.

I've lived my life not to bring shame to my family, to my friends, and especially to me. Yet I feel so, so, so, so disappointed in myself. I feel so lost, and I feel like such a failure. I feel like I'm at the edge of no return, and I may fall so low that I may actually go crazy.

The expectations of graduating is slowly eating me alive. The "ma awa ka sa amin" my parents have been pressuring on me is slowly killing me inside. I want to graduate so bad too, but it's out of my hands. I'm sorry.

The Expectations Are Eating Me Alive

Hello guys, I am an Computer Engineering Student who has kept a scholarship for straight four years, helping my parents not pay a dime for tuitions. It's one of the things I carry a lot of pride over, as I find myself not all that smart, and not even all that hardworking.

I thought I was a good son, a good student, with a promising career.

Yet everything comes with a cost.

I'm an extremely timid person, so I get anxious over a lot of things a lot. I could say it's one of the things that made sure things go the way it should, and why I always pass my subjects despite not the brightest people.

However, it feels like a double-edge sword; because right now, I am about to graduate and the only thing stopping me is a single subject that's only available on the 2nd semester and I could feel my parents' disappointment of me. They always say, "you better get that subject", or "maawa ka sa amin" and I could feel the pressure and anxiety just eating me alive.

During the start of this year, I was going through extreme pressure because of our Thesis, and I was lucky to pass it first time. Since I placed all my focus on the thesis, I didn't have the mental strength to focus on other things, so I didn't take into mind the subjects I could have trouble getting after the thesis, and this is where I ended up.

I know it's not the end of the world, I know life will keep going, but this anxiety is eating me inside and I sometimes see the reflection of myself staring at me, disappointed, why I overlooked something so simple that I could've solved a year before.

I have people waiting for me to make money, to have a job, to have a career. Yet, I failed to oversee something, a hurdle I didn't expect.

I've been in so much pressure since the start of this year, and I feel like it's been piling up into something I couldn't possibly carry anymore. I'm at my wits end, and I don't know what to do if our method of opening up the subject fails to succeed.

I just want to graduate, I just want to be a filial son, a successful boyfriend, and a man with principles backed by his accomplishments.

I feel so sorry for myself, beating myself up over something like this, but the pressure is so heavy and I find myself unable to breathe at times.

There is something dreadful about thinking you're winning, only to lose so close at the finish line.

Biblical Depictions in the Show

The actions of the Boy in White and the Man in Yellow feels like how God and the Devil interacts with human society.

God (The Boy in White) and its angel (the kids) always speaks and acts in riddles, something that's hard for people to understand sometimes. While the Devil (Man in Yellow) plays with the people, infiltrating in human society, and uses its powers to destroy humanity from the inside out.

I know I'm probably not the first one to notice this, but it's a fun detail I always noticed.

Where to put small collections?

So I'm thinking of doing a side-quest and collect the Mcdonald Promo 2024, but they only hace 15 cards.

Where so you suggest I put them? I feel like 4-pocket binders are too expensive for it and I can't find a reliable binder brand that provides smaller.

Where can I buy Individual JP cards that are cheap?

All of the shops in Shopee have really bloated prices with the japanese cards. For example, the 151 squirtle common that's 7 pesos in TCGPlayer costs 61 pesos in one shop.

I wanted to transition to Japanese because they have better quality, but I've found that the english cards seem cheaper on non-hit cards. (Currently doing Kanto Dex)

Starting my First TCG Journey!!

Hello, I just want to share my first TCG Journey - starting with the Kanto Dex!

I'm currently 23 years old and I finally have the privilege of both the time and money to spend on Pokémon! I've been a huge Pokémon fan since I was a kid, played every game I could possibly put my hands on: Pokemon Deluge, Pokemon Lake, and then I went on to emulators, and then to mobile, then the rest of that was history.

I grew up not being so privileged, even now, I'm still not willing to spend over P300 a week for TCG (buying individual cards on trusted shops on Shopee! but gotta start somewhere!)

I just wanna share this as I feel like I'm late into the game of it all lol!

26/151 Pokemons caught so far!

To the woman who waited 3 years: I finally graduated, and now it's my turn to give back.

My girlfriend has been waiting for me to graduate for 3 years, and now I finally graduated. We've had a lot of ups and downs, and she chose to be loyal and respectful to me despite my imperfections.

I graduated Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and I'm starting in a private company with a starting salary of 25k.

I hope, with this degree and the skill sets I've managed to cultivate, that I will get everything she ever wants to the best of my abilities. I owe this woman a lot, and I will pay everything back a thousand fold.
