It'd be a pretty well-executed hoax if it was one- the weight looks accurate, doing "2019" instead of a year closer to the accident makes it seem more incidental, the fancy case and lighting box and everything is pretty crazy too.
If this is real, who is this? Have we ever heard anything saying crew were given items like this to take home? And why is someone selling it now instead of closer to the peak of the story?
A bizarre find. I don't endorse it or say one way or another if it's real. I lean towards yes, since it's so incredibly oddly specific, but I know OceanGate hoaxes exist. There's an eBay listing for controllers bought "at OceanGate HQ in Everett when it was closing down" that aren't even proper Logitech controllers, so I know people are trying this. It'd be possible to get a real patch even for the sake of lending legitimacy to this. It only has to work once to be wildly profitable
What even happens to things like this? This story isn't probably ever going to have a museum entry about it (for a lot of reasons), so are all these weird OceanGate relics Stockton was handing out going to be bouncing around personal collections til the end of time?
(NEW update) Talked to the seller, their story was very detailed and checked out. It appears from what they said that the weight was indeed on the Titan at least once, since it was one used in shallow water testing that was reused and cleaned several times. To me at least, that increases its interest, since before we weren't even certain if it had ever been anywhere near Titan.
They're still selling old Oceangate clothing if anyone is interested. I don't know if I'd feel right wearing it and it's way too small for me anyways, but if anyone here is interested, I thought I'd let you know. It's pretty nice stuff and in good condition. They were very nice and gave a detailed answer so I figure the least I can do is point anybody interested in buying in their direction.
Built a deck with zero intent to deal damage, only to stall in every single possible way. It suffers a lot if the wrong things go into prizes but when. it works it's incredibly fun to play. The opponent here was only able to deal even totals so they were forced to watch as I very slowly discarded their deck. Generally people ragequit before running out of cards on this one. I barely ever even attach energy with it, it relies on Alolan marowak's spirit smash which is a zero energy attack that discards the opponent's top card. A lot of one-trick players in here like Xrkitree who I only bring along to give the opponent an extra prize card. It's certainly very swingy whether it works or not. Anyone else tried this sort of strategy?
Several benched Ogerpons grab all the energy, then Venusaur feeds it all to Buzzwole. Ryme allows for swapping who's in the active slot so an easier to kill target for Beast Game is available. If that doesn't work, Ogerpon can be set with exactly the right energy to leave the opponent's active with less than 50 HP. If it's an ex, that's 5 prizes taken. And if the opponent allowed me to take a card via Surge's Bargain, that's lights out. Double Colorless is a good supplement to get Beast Game (or Ogerpon) where it needs to be.
Does it work? Yes and no, it's very dependent on not getting prize-locked. The tests I've had have repeatedly had Bulbasaur locked in my prize cards, which really weakens the strategy as the energy transport is critical to this working. When it does work however, it's insanely satisfying to hit a 5 prize card KO. I like playing silly strategies like this, this is why Expanded can be so fun. I wish there were more Expanded players running insane cross-generation combos with EX and GX and V and the likes all working together, I like to see the variety. So far it's been primarily the same decks I saw in Standard.
There's a new selling platform called WhatNot where if you sign up with a referral link you get randomly between 15 and 200 dollars of free credit. I used this to get a LEGO DC Huntress figure that I'll be flipping for basically free cash. Here's my link:

VERY RELEVANT WARNING:
WhatNot is an awful platform with all the flaws of eBay Live dialed to 11. Sellers manipulate buyers with insanely fast-paced auctions, over-hype of the rarity of the pieces being sold, and generally things end up selling for between 1.5x and double their real worth. There is literally no reason to purchase anything there rather than taking time to find a good price- nothing ever goes for a price below market average. I'd only recommend getting the app long enough to get the free credit, get a free fig to love or to flip, and then delete it.
This warning goes for eBay live as well. Don't get drawn into the hype- the sellers on there are NOT your friends.
which school mascot do you prefer? i tend towards spongezilla
did they not bother to record a few takes? why is it in the trailer 4 times anyways?
