Adventure Ocean Royal Babies Nursery

Just wanted to share my experience with using the baby nursery on Star of the Seas last week as it was my first cruise and first time using the nursery. I couldn't find a ton of info on it before we left so maybe someone would find this helpful.

I used the Adventure ocean royal babies (6-36 months) for 4 evenings on our 7 day trip.l for my 6 month old baby. On the first day you need to go to the adventure ocean theater upon getting on the ship. I waited about an hour but heard some people they waited up to two hours. It's a very slow painful process of one person taking reservations. They allow you to book 6 hours initially and then open reservations again on day 3. I used these for 7-10pm on days 2 and 3. On day 3 I believe they open up at 9am to start the process again. People lined up around 8:30am that day in my experience and you are then allowed to book one more reservation. Day 5 I was able to go down mid day and book another reservation. They do fill up and have essentially a one in one out so you kind of get what you get in terms of time slots depending how early you signed up. Ie on day 3 i wanted to use my slot for day 4 due to a show and I was only able to book from 6:15-8:15pm. After day 4 I was able to get another slot from 7-10pm.

Upon drop off they ask you last feeding, last change, etc and give you a phone to reach you if needed. I left a premade formula bottle on the first evening and they said they prefer the bottles to not be premade going forward so they are fresher. I am not sure not sure how or if they handle breast milk. I left my daughter and they fed her, put her down and when I picked her up they rolled her crib out and we were able to keep her sleeping until we got back to the room. I never got a call or had any issues with the staff but my daughter does attend daycare so she is used to being in this sort of setting.

There is no info or linking for the Royal babies etc in your app which maybe is a safety thing? It does seem like some other method would be more efficient.

In Home Infant Swim Lessons

Looking for infant survival swim lessons that will come to my home pool for ~7 month old baby. Located in Palm Bay. Due to my spouse and I working full time it would be easier than driving somewhere 5 days a week for short lessons.

Any suggestions on people you've used or advice would be greatly appreciated

1st cruise- am I ruined?

Just got off my first cruise on Star of the Seas. There was so much to do and see even with my just turned 6 month old baby. Will I be able to cruise in the future on anything other than Icon class ships without being disappointed? I would like to take more long weekend trips but worried how the boats will compare.
