Payroll and its issue in SMB

Peeps who have business which dealing with payroll issue or who is dealingwith payroll issue, i want to have discussion about it so i have summed my thoughts below , feel free to add your opinions

Most small businesses don't actually struggle to calculate payroll.

They struggle to gather payroll inputs.

Attendance from an excel file.

Leave from a whatsapp message.

Overtime logged manually.

Reimbursements sent whenever it strikes from chats.

And then a few hours spent reconciling it all before payday.

I saw this pattern while doing research on how Indian SMBs operate and ended up building a small prototype that:

- Gathers attendance and leave inputs in one central location

- Keeps track of outstanding employee inputs

- Automatically generates payroll-ready exports

- Sends cut-off reminders before it's time for salary processing.

Or do teams already have the standard workflows in place?
