From sim racing to the race track: DUNLOP and Fanatec launch partnership in 2026

Dunlop Tyre Europe GmbH has entered a new three-year partnership with Fanatec, one of the world’s leading brands in the sim racing segment. A globally established brand, Fanatec is an official partner of Formula 1 and part of the Corsair Group. Fanatec stands for high-quality sim racing equipment used by both ambitious sim racing enthusiasts and professional esports competitors.

Since September 2025, DUNLOP has been firmly established in the world of digital motorsport as an official partner of Gran Turismo, the racing game franchise for PlayStation from Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment. The highly realistic motorsport simulation is a key platform for DUNLOP to bring performance and motorsport DNA to life in the virtual world. Building on this strong position, the strategic collaboration with Fanatec is a natural progression: while Gran Turismo delivers authentic cars, circuits and racing scenarios in a virtual environment, Fanatec provides the premium sim racing hardware to create an immersive driving experience.

“As an official partner of Gran Turismo, it was clear to us that collaborating with Fanatec is the next logical step. Together, we are creating a platform where motorsport can be experienced at every level – digital, virtual and real,” explains Dennis Wilstermann, marketing manager of DUNLOP Tyre Europe GmbH.

A central element of the partnership is to make motorsport more tangible for audiences. To achieve this, Fanatec sim racing setups will be fully integrated into trade shows and events, starting with TIRE COLOGNE 2026 (9 – 11 June), inviting visitors to take a seat in the virtual cockpit and experience racing first-hand.

The partnership focuses on bringing different target groups together and strengthening the connection between the motorsport and sim racing communities. With this collaboration, DUNLOP reinforces its ambition to evolve motorsport not only technologically, but also emotionally and in line with modern audiences.

▲ 151 r/UFOs

Our favorite Wikipedia Editor back at it trying to discredit everything.

We are at a point where ignoring the UFO/UAP discussion is no longer intellectually honest.

Government officials have acknowledged unidentified aerial phenomena. Documents exist. Investigations exist. Hearings have happened. Whatever your interpretation, the subject has moved from fringe speculation into institutional reality.

And yet, parts of the public discourse still behave like nothing is happening. The default response is dismissal, often framed as “science,” but without seriously engaging with the growing body of official acknowledgment.

It creates a disconnect: on one side, slow but real institutional disclosure pressure; on the other, commentators treating the entire subject as if it’s still purely fictional.

The uncomfortable possibility is that some people are less interested in what the data actually shows, and more committed to protecting a worldview where nothing unusual is allowed to be true.

The real question isn’t “are aliens here?

it’s why is the conversation still being treated as if nothing worth investigating exists at all?
