Just got given a golden necklace by my mother but I’ve only worn silver the past 18 years…

I got this piercing about 1-2 weeks ago and at first I thought it was healing nicely, however it hurts to move around more than it did when it was fresh. I’ve previously had it pierced years ago and the red dot you see between the piercing is that old scar - it used to be white and now it’s red?? Has anyone else experienced that?
