You mean to tell me you've been standing there on your phone for 30 mins and not once did it occur to you to have your money/bus pass out and ready to throw into the farebox when you board the bus? 🤔

Hey guys. My Go Kart stopped working after I used it.

Here are some key details:

Before we got the Go Kart back to our house it was previously owned by my wife's father. He kept it outside under a carport. Wasn't used much before we brought it home. Recently we have been needing to recharge the battery quite frequently. Like maybe every week. Her dad took the battery to a store and had it checked they said it was good. When it would die we would get a clicking sound then recharge the battery and it started right up. After its last usage, it would not crank at all but the lights and dash work.

Now it doesn't want to crank at all, ive checked the ground, there's no clicking noise, and I cleaned all the connections. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry lads if this isn't allowed. I read the rules & didn't see anything against making people aware of a company that is currently scamming people with major evidence.

I was made aware of this company (Caddy Moving) through my gig work/partners. I have seen them around for some years in my area so I thought nothing of it. I failed to do my research prior to accepting a job through them. The way they get you is through a post on craigslist, they talk very nice to you in the beginning and during the work. I am very familiar with Moving companies and labor pools in general so I signed up for an account with them. Seemed legit as I've said before, some of my partner have used them in the past.

After the job was done and all signatures were completed through the app they asked me and the other mover, who i already knew through previous gigs, for our payment methods. We gave it to them and heard nothing since. NOTHING. Not only that, they promise you a certain pay per hr and at the end it's something totally different. The gig i applied for specifically stated $22/hr with a 2 hour minimum. When I logged into my account it showed that I was only getting paid $31 total or $15.40 an hour. They also denied my application after the job was already completed for unknown reasons. They didn't specify. Come to find out they have a huge lawsuit right now in Ohio I believe.

Just wanted everyone to be aware of this company. You can look online yourself, you will see many many complaints of laborers not being paid and customers being overcharged.

u/Paypal_Jiheon is trying to do the upwork scam. BOLO.

He just messaged me after creating a "giveaway" post asking me to create an upwork account for him. Be safe.

Sorry if this isn't something that is allowed but I figured I'd put it out there anyways. Please disregard if not accepted.

New comers: READ THE RULES. DO YOUR RESEARCH. If it looks too good to be true, it PROBABLY is. Here are some basic examples of red flags;

  1. No history in this subreddit or on Reddit in general. (They have their history private)

  2. If you see them commenting but don't see the comments show up on their own profile when you go to search.

  3. LANGUAGE. You can almost always tell when they are using a translator.

  4. They comment on everything asking everyone to DM them.

  5. Tasks. Asking you to do any sort of tasks outside of reddit. (UpWork, referrals, etc).

Don't let your desperation put you in a position to lose even more than what you already have. Be vigilant, be weary and most importantly contact a MOD if you have any doubts about a particular account/individual.

These same rules apply to you as well, these are red flags for lenders when you make a post asking for a loan. The rules can be found on the front page side bar.

Edit - Here are two more red flags to be weary of;

  1. Instantly sending you a message without first commenting on your post.

  2. Asking for a deposit. No actual lender will ask you for a deposit as that cancels out the entire reason for needing the loan.

The Go Kart is supposedly only 3 years old but I digress. Either way, before it died we kept having to recharge the battery for it to start up. Every once in a while you'll get a clicking noise and then we would charge the battery, it would start right up. The last couple times I rode it I felt a decrease in power. It would still reach its top speed but very very slowly.

It was left outside to the elements at our dad's house before we took it in and wasn't used as much over there. Dad took the battery to a store and they supposedly said the battery is good.

Lights turn on, dash turns on, but we get no crank. I took the battery out and cleaned the terminals and connections, still nothing. Ground wires dont look corroded. Doesnt even make the clicking anymore. Thanks for any advice
