NEW to DMing

Hi ,not sure if this is the right reddit for this, but as someone whose exposure to TTrpgs very few I got a few questions. I am very much interested in DMing but got like 15 sessions as player in total(IRL keeps breaking up groups or friends lose interest and get into WoW and palworld instead).

First, how much preparation would I need to do if I were to use an adventure path?

Second, I don't have any skill in improvising, any yt videos to learn quickly if possible?

Third, how would you guys have your world react to your players? Like say, they became wanted at a village for prison break, how would nearby towns or cities react to it?

Lastly, how to give BBEG a presence over the overarching campaign? Will be using 3 books with different locations/main plot but in same region.

EDIT I forgot to mention I am using foundry vtt for the group. If that helps

Side quests and adjusting level scaling

Hi, few days ago I asked for advice as a beginner dm and people recommened beginner boxes, some mentioned menace under otari but its sequels didn't grabbed my attention.

So I am starting the secret of the unlit star soon til bastion of blasphemy(caught my attention more than Abomination vaults), but when I was looking at beginner boxes like the menace under otari, I wanted to use those ones as an excuse to give more magic items instead of them being sold at shops.

How would you guys scale up the encounters on the main quest? I plan to have a narrative time distance between main questlines to give hints about the menace in bastion of blasphemy. Rather rushing main quest to quest like in video games

Steam sale

Thinking of getting pillars of eternity 2, would I need to play the first one first? And do I need the all the dlcs for the full experience(all race customization)?

Lovecraftian Faction RTS

Looking to find a niche game that has gameplay either similar to W3 OR SC2 or C&C2/3 that has faction that revolves around lovecraftian theme, like eldritch horror beings slowly corrupting the map like the undead blight or zerg mutated ground. Would be fine if it had campaign but would be good if it also have a skirmish mode. Would even like it even more with superweapons from command and conquer

If above is not possible, an RTS game where you slowly drive the map to madness using lovecraftian faction(playing as the bad guy here), but with base building.

First Time DM for seeking advice for PF2

Hi, not sure if this the best place to ask, but as a dnd player trying to DM for PF2 for first time, what adventure module would be good for a party of 3 ttrpg new players to try out? More interested in this setting since it feels more diverse(pc can be a awakened animal wolf inspired by Sif from DS1). Would like to be more grounded adventure with little do with dragons. Any starter adventure books that has ending that can easily branch to another module? Like lost mines of phalander to curse strahd

Would making a session 0 with char building and some combat help the players understand the system better?

Would people recommend Pathbuilder2 over wanderer's guide for ease of making Char?
