I built an expense tracker in Swift, got 200 active users and $288 in revenue in the last 28 days.

I built Spendaq Expense Manager, a personal expense tracker for iPhone.
No team, no funding, just me coding.

Here's where I am today:
• 200 active customers
• 188 new users in the last 28 days
• $288 revenue last month
• MRR growing steadily
• 100% bootstrapped

What actually worked:

  1. Keeping it simple. No bank sync, no complicated setup.
  2. Open app, log expense, done.
  3. Going multilingual early. Added German, French, Spanish, Portuguese. Half my subscribers are from Europe (Austria, Switzerland).
  4. Obsessing over the onboarding. 74% of users complete the tutorial. That number matters more than downloads.
  5. iCloud backup instead of accounts. No signup friction.
  6. Users trust it immediately — their data stays private on
  7. their own iCloud.

MRR is growing and the curve is going the right direction.

Happy to answer any questions about Swift development, App Store optimization, or growing a finance app.

I built a private expense tracker (no bank login, no data sold) — Spendaq: Expense Manager, free on iOS. Would love your feedback

Hey r/apps,

https://preview.redd.it/46zucimz190h1.png?width=1254&format=png&auto=webp&s=ac2ae07c507cf9df050bb37d2e1364e81ddda6f6

I'm the developer of Spendaq: Expense Manager — an expense

tracker I built because I was tired of finance

apps that either require your bank login or

quietly sell your data.

Spendaq does neither. Your financial data

stays on your device (or your own private

iCloud). That's it.

What it does:

- Log any expense in under 5 taps

- Set monthly budgets per category

- Visual spending ring shows where

your money goes at a glance

- Set recurring bills once, never

forget them

- Works completely offline

- Apple Watch + home/lock screen

widgets

- Multiple vaults — separate personal,

travel, and business expenses

- Export to CSV or PDF

- Supports 32+ languages

It's free to download with a 1-week Pro

trial. No credit card needed to try.

I'd genuinely love honest feedback —

what's missing, what feels off,

anything at all.

I launched my app Spendaq (expense tracker) as a test with:

$0 in ads $0 in marketing $0 to influencers $0 for a launch team

I only used Reddit.

And today I got my 1st paid subscription.

It’s real revenue (see screenshot below).

Spendaq was designed with simplicity in mind, so that the act of recording expenses is not a complex task. Spendaq also removes the complexity and confusion when analyzing spending habits by providing a clear view of your expense categories and spending trends.

I didn't think it would work this fast, but Reddit has done me proud

If you’ve ever wondered whether you need ads to validate an idea… maybe not.

Hi everyone,

I have been building HumanizeAIWrite - which I just started to test. The goal is to enhance AI-generated text, making it sound more natural and less likely to be flagged by content detection tools.

https://www.humanizeaiwrite.com/

### Core idea

Instead of using separate tools, this combines:

  • AI Detection → identifies AI-like patterns
  • Humanization → rewrites content to improve tone and flow
  • Verification→ check results again

### Key features

  • Natural-sounding rewrites (not just synonyms)
  • Meaning is preserved
  • Works well against common detectors (GPTZero, Copyleaks, etc.)
  • Fast and simple UI

### Why it matters

AI is useful, but raw output often:

  • sounds robotic
  • gets flagged
  • needs manual editing

### Promo for early users

If you’re interested in trying Pro:

👉 Use code U1MTU2OA and save 10% on Humanize.AI Pro

I’m actively improving it, so feedback would really help:

* What works well?

* What feels off?

* What would you want added?
