SKSE, Address Library, and mods that depend on them are an all-or-nothing proposition. You must update all of them at once if you want everything in your LO to keep working as it did before the Update to 1.7.99.0
As the title says, and this is for those of you who never had the time or drive to learn to mod Skyrim on your own.
There is no "piecemeal" or "a-la-cart" for this update process. SKSE and the Address Library are updated [but DON'T install them until you're ready to do it all!].
Now you:
- wait for your favorite mods to be updated by their authors.
- make a folder on your HDD called "Skyrim_1.7.99.0" and download all of your updated mods to it as they get updated.
- When you finally have enough of your SKSE-dependent mods, and you figure you can live without the laggards, you unlock your appmanifest_489830.acf file and let the game update.
- Now (re)install SKSE, & open your Mod Mangler to install (update) all the rest.
- Disable the ones that haven't been updated yet. Start a new save.
- If you want to use your old save, you're best off waiting until every SKSE-dependent mod in your LO has been updated.
*I'm not an authority like the folks who created LoreRim or GTS, but I've been doing this for a hot minute. I run a surprisingly stable modlist of over 1030 mods.
