I'm about to take a walk from south to north and walk the whole wall - I only know some basic info about these walls so thought I'd ask here for any interesting info or details to watch for.

I think I read the moat section was often cultivated space historically and most of it is today as well. Things like that.

What were some interesting features of these walls and what would you be focused on if you took this walk? I'll post some pictures later if that's allowed.

Hello all I'm curious has anyone obtained a sapar/ type J visa recently for a longer tourism stay?

Or if you have any knowledge about the process, contacts for visa agent etc I'd really appreciate anything you could pass along.

I have USA passport, plan to stay for 90 days, would like to get multiple entry visa for option to visit neighboring countries.

So... I see this type of visa listed as an option on the Kyrgyzstan gov website, they even have an example application. On the example there is a letter of invitation or "sponsor" letter.

Anyone know how to get one of these letters without getting scammed? I think some tour operators can arrange it, and I assume there are visa agencies as well, but I'm not sure where to begin. I've read the letters may need to come from some person or company with special tourism license?
