Kandy or Colombo for a guaranteed reliable video call on Wednesday? Need advice

Hi all, hoping some locals or nomads can help me out.

I'm a tourist travelling in Sri Lanka and have an important job interview via video call this Wednesday at 13:30. I'm currently in the hill country (Haputale) where the connection has been unstable, calls drop every few minutes, so I need to move somewhere with a proper line. I'm weighing up Kandy or Colombo.

I don't need anything fancy, just one hour where the connection absolutely does not fail, ideally somewhere quiet and private enough that I'm not sitting in an open room with people walking behind me.

A few questions:

  1. Kandy: how bad will things be with the Perahera starting on the 18th? I'm mainly worried about the mobile networks being overloaded and rooms being scarce. Are there coworking spaces there with a private booth or meeting room? I've seen Office One and ARCADE mentioned.
  2. Colombo: which space would you actually trust for a call that can't drop? Likuid, Co Spaces, Catalyst by HUB9, Hatch, anyone used their booths or meeting rooms or One office in Kandy?
  3. Any budget hotel or guesthouse in either city where the in-room wifi is genuinely solid? Under about 30 EUR.

Grateful for any advice. I have Tuesday free to go test whatever i ook.

Thank you!!
