First Berried Female! Couple Q’s?

My first girly is with egg! Tank is one gallon, about a year old, and has 12 or so shrimp.
What’s the timeline on this, approximately?
Do I need to do anything differently during the egg/baby shrimp era?

New teacher of gifted 7th and 8th- curious about what others do!

Hey everyone! I’m taking on a new role as a 7th and 8th teacher, and I’m looking to build out an engaging, challenging, low-stress curriculum that fits into a 45-minute weekly enrichment block. As I’m the only teacher in my district doing this (and I’m new), I was wondering if any of y’all would share resources/structures/units/words of wisdom? It’s fun to start from scratch, but it’s an echo chamber.
The challenge of the 45-minute, once a week structure is getting me. Am I being too ambitious with longer thematic units? Anyway, very grateful for any of you willing to share your experience.
Thanks in advance!

Simple tincture?

Hi all, I’ve typically just made tea in the past but I’m curious if I could make a simple tincture by blending pods and straw and extracting in everclear? I don’t have it in me to do the whole putty/laudanum thing but would like to be able to do easy, small doses for pain management. Thanks in advance for your expertise, you magical chemists!

I’ve been using my Jelly Star for a little over a year and a half and I’m wondering if it’s time to move on. I like the size, I can tolerate the battery life and weird glitches (getting hot, group texting drama, etc.), but the actual phone call component has gone weird and now every call makes a terrible echo and I can’t really use it for calls now.

What I need in a phone:
Texting and group texting
Photo texting (camera quality doesn’t matter)
Spotify (I know this is a hard ask for a dumb phone)
The ability to add apps like Libby, my running app, etc.
maps

I liked that they jelly Star let me completely disable the browser so there was no opening links, checking emails, etc. I liked that the small size and glitches made it slightly unpleasant to use.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance! Trying to decide if I buy another jelly or move on to the next.

Editing to add that I’m in the US and I’m not tech savvy so anything requiring tech skills to dumbify is unforgivable a no go
