What are the black spots?
Shrimp is still eating and chilling with the rest, but I noticed these black dots. Sort of look like eggs but on the inside?

Do I let the glass in my tank go very green or do I clean it? The shells in my tank are very green too and look unsightly 😬
My usual supplier has a waitlist, wondering if anyone in the great north has a hookup that ships or is in Toronto.
She’s looking happy and red, and I finally got a good angle and zoom from my iPhone so she can show off for you all.
Where do I find opae ula? I scraped the entire web to find them but the only way to buy them is to buy them overseas them I have to get a permit and go through a complex process just to get some...
I am from the Philippines btw
Any advice please
Started my 5 gallon tank in May last year with 27 shrimp from GotSnails. While I've had very little luck growing nice green algae on the rocks (just some weird white algae-like growths), the tank has thrived. Today I counted 18 adults, 21 larva floating, 38 nymphs, and another 10+ eggs held by a pregnant shrimp. But most importantly, I spotted this VERY red shrimp. The reddest I've seen so far. Enjoy its redness with me.
So I set up an opae ula aquarium recently, had it going for about a week before adding shrimp (I should've waited longer ik), and before I added the shrimp, I noticed young brine shrimp swimming around the brackish water. This aquarium used to be used for brine shrimp, so some eggs must've survived when I emptied out the aquarium and hatched. How long will they be able to survive in the brackish tank and should I just remove them?
I had Opae Ula I got a few weeks ago in a jar, and just moved them to a 2.5 gallon tank. Any recommendations of specific places to source lava rock? Chaeto? Anything else I might be missing that the shrimp might like?
This is a new tank, my shrimp and snails arrived June 15th. One of my snails promptly had babies, and now I have all of these, not including the ones hanging out in the Cheeto and along the walls of the tank. I love my snails and I do not want to harm or cull them. But is this too many to where it could harm my shrimp? I worry about the amount of waste this many snails could produce. I have about 12 shrimp in there and it’s a 4 gal jar. Should I leave them? Start a new tank for the snails?
I got an 18 lb bag of small lava rocks at Lowe’s for $6.78. You can glue them together with aquarium glue shape them the way you want or use them in small opening bottles. I’m excite about what I might be able to do with them!
Hey there! I should be getting my shrimp here soon but no matter what I do I feel like the lid keeps molding. I tried covering it with silicone and then the silicone molded so I had a second lid and I polyurethaneed it and that's molding too. Anyone have any tips? Does the mold matter? Should I make a lid with my 3D printer? Thanks!
So the two females that had berries when I got home from my 3 weeks away, no longer have berries. At least I assume so because I no longer see them. I do however see one larva in the water column. That is the typical hatch rate and maturity to adulthood for Opae ula? If more survived should I see more in the water column or are they just hiding in rocks and chaeto?
My 1 gallon wall tank. 5 yellows and 8 reds. Cant see them in the pic but I absolutely love this tank!
Should I just pour it away and restart….
Wth are those man
My snail tips are turning white, what does that indicate?
Also I have used seachem alkaline buffer in combination with seachem acid buffer. In order to adjust the ph in the past. But using them to adjust pH months after setup, is the only time I've ever lost a shrimp. So I don't know if these are safe for OpaeUla. I haven't adjusted the water of this tank in probably 6-months. If I need to adjust PH, which additive is safe for OpaeUla?
