The OG of this trope. The monster is brought back to life as a result of Frankensteins pursuit of pushing the limits of what is scientifically possible. The result is a being that is neither human nor completely inhuman, and lives its life isolated from a society that fears him, but he desperately desires to belong to in some way.

Claudia- Interview With The Vampire

Claudia was a five year old (a preteen in the AMC series) on the brink of dying in a house fire until the vampire Louie takes pity on her and has her turned into a vampire herself, saving her life and granting her immortality. However, this process also freezes her aging process, trapping her in the body of a prepubescent girl. Claudia lives her vampiric life as the “daughter” of Louie and Lestat, but quickly gets frustrated at the prospect of never having a woman’s body. Later on, she is raped, kidnapped, held hostage, enslaved, her skin eaten by rats, and finally immolated by sunlight as she’s forced to stand a rigged trial.
