It makes a weird sound, like the brush, or something connected to it, is grinding next to something else. Any ideas on how I can fix this? When I turn off the brush, the sound goes away.

I’m not exactly sure where to post this, so I figured I’d start with an electrician page. What happened to my lightbulb and light switch? It looks like it overheated, but I’ve never seen something like this happen before. What causes this, how do I prevent this in the future, and are there safety concerns I need to be aware of in the future? For context, this was a floor lamp with five separate heads for lightbulbs. Right now four out of the five still work.
