Hey all, been using this machine since it dropped, sat down with it for the first time after a month overseas and it'd doing something I've never seen before. Settings are exactly the same as when I last used it:

- USB In set to LINE IN under general utility settings

- The SHIFT + EXT SOURCE routing is set to ExtIn

The weird stuff:

- Even with EXT SOURCE off, the audio I'm trying to sample over USB comes through my headphones.

- When I toggle EXT SOURCE on, despite having no FX set on any of busses 1-4, the audio is louder and muffled, like I had 303 + 404 comp on

- When I do put FX on Bus 1 +2, a lot of them sound really weird - e.g. cassette sim sounds like it has a short reverb on it, 404 sim sounds like a phaser

Anyone run into anything like this before?? It almost seems like effects have swapped places or even merged with each other, but again none of these issues are present when playing beats directly off the machine...

I feel like I'm going crazy, any help appreciated!

I just finished Third Sin (enjoyed it a lot overall) and have some thoughts. Although I prefer B2 to B1, I feel like the latter is more of a complete, consistent package. B2 has some omissions that make it feel somewhat unfinished to me:

- Only one altarpiece for Mea Culpa and no resonances

- Boss gallery only allows you to challenge individual bosses. I personally love this but can't understand why there isn't also a gauntlet mode like B1

- No Embrujo grapple points outside of the DLC. I understand it's self-contained but adding a whole new weapon and constraining one of its main mechanics to a 3-hour experience just feels like wasted potential

- No all-abilities NG+. Sequence breaking is such a core part of the genre and it would've made replaying the game several times so much fun. Maybe an option for all abilities but you lose all health upgrades?

- No resolution to Asterion's story (yet, I guess). I can't really picture how a B3 would work so I'm hoping they cover this in a future DLC instead of making it a key plot point in a new game.

I’ve already 100%’d the game three times on NG+, including MC DLC, and I really can’t bring myself to do it all again. I’ve read that Third Sin is scaled for mid-game, so I’m wondering if anyone who found themselves in a similar situation can recommend builds/restrictions that make it as fun and challenging as the base late game? I’m tempted to just remove all rosaries and altarpieces but I’ve heard the boss is a massive damage sponge. Any suggestions much appreciated!

Also, does anyone know why it’s scaled for mid-game? Surely the vast majority of players are on mostly/fully completed saves and Mea Culpa was scaled for post-game difficulty. Seems like an odd choice?

Not a complaint as I’m yet to experience any serious bugs but I’ve seen a lot of posts about gamebreakers. Genuinely curious for someone who knows nothing about coding games - is it just the result of unforeseen issues caused by updates, a lack of proper testing, platform differences interacting with the code in weird ways?

I had access to an XDJ for a few hours yesterday - don’t know the exact model of the unit but my understanding is that all XDJs should accept MP3 320 @ 44.1khz. I had batch converted all of my tunes to these specifications using VLC and formatted and USB to Fat32 before exporting them all to the USB using Rekordbox, but half of them gave an “unsupported format” error on the XDJ. I reconverted the original files and quickly exported them to a friend’s USB (that she frequently uses in XDJs and has never had any issues with) and the same thing happened. Does anyone have any ideas what the issue might be? A bit baffled given I converted them all with the exact same codec and some of them do actually load.

Half the tracks show up as “unsupported file type” on the XDJ. I batch converted every single one to 44.1khz MP3 320kbps using the exact same codec setting. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong??

Been watching some of his recent sets and he seems to often DownB in suboptimal positions, leaving his opponents with a frame advantage and getting heavily punished. I understand that DownB'ing on stage extends its vertical height in the air (is that correct?), but he usually gets that out of the way when respawning. Can anyone shed some light?
