4th of July vent

I really wish their was a limit to how loud the fireworks can be i.e. the huge boom ones. My neighbor did like six in a row. Went to my basement to cry. PTSD sucks...I know it's a celebration but man I am over it.

Update: Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. Just knowing I am not alone is so helpful. I hope everyone is able to get some rest soon or calm their nervous system down. ❤️

Slowly fading into the night

Haven't smoked in a four months. Chilling on the porch solar lights going and classic rock playing. Beautiful night. Watching the sky fade and the trees become a black silhouette. ✌️ ☮️ ❤️

Wishing you all a lovely night.

Bird Watching

Beginning to find a slow evening on my porch, solar lights going and listening to the birdsthe best way to end my week.. Makes me think of the Summer nights as a kid, playing outside until the fireflies came out.

Anyone else into bird watching?

Noise noise noise

They have been working on removing trees from across my house for four days. I have had shoulder pain due to bursitis with the consistent rain we've had. I work from home today and feel like I can't get away from my pain or the noise. I am a mental health therapist so can't use music to drown any of it out. I am using Arnica for the shoulder pain. I know what they are doing this for a good reason but I just want to cry 😢. Trying to not binge eat my feelings and pain today. Thanks for listening.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I did it!

I am really proud of myself. I lost power yesterday and it won't be back on through the weekend. I researched generators and all the things needed to go with. Bought a nice dolly as well. Its an inverter one so propane hooked up currently. It also has a remote start which will be nice as we have more severe weather tonight. I am so happy to not be losing all my food again. I was a tad afraid it was going to blow up when I turned it on, but it didn't.

Makes me happy to think I can do this living alone stuff. ❤️

I did it!

I am so proud of myself for not freaking out about losing power till probably this weekend. I researched a generator and all things needed for it. I bought a dolly to move it, I live alone. I hooked it all up using propane. And it works!!! So happy to not loose all my food again and have a fan going. Plus this is my work from home day. I need it only 4 hours of sleep and we have a more severe storm tonight.
