Does this shoe fit?

Bought a pair of 9.5 WIDE Florsheim oxfords. I’m not super familiar with how dress shoes are supposed to properly fit but I’m in shock how much space there is at the end of the insole! Is this normal for oxfords since they come to a narrow point at the end of the shoe? I’d be in disbelief if these were too large for me especially since my foot already hangs over in the width quite significantly lol. Also haven’t owned a pair of size 9 or smaller shoes since I was a teen.

Barefoot shoes while working on concrete?

Just ordered my first pair of barefoot shoes and are looking forward to them coming in. I plain on wearing them when going for walks or heading to the grocery store, etc. I’m curious though - I’m a blue collar worker who is on a concrete floor for 8 hours a day and am wondering if anybody has any experience with wearing barefoot shoes in a similar environment? Have you had success or are you better off wearing properly cushioned work boots to combat the harsh floor?

Mygreenmattress - new bed and waking up with a stiff back

Been sleeping on my new MGM Natural Escape for 2 full weeks now and every single morning I’ve been waking up with a stiff back and have noticed I’m tossing and turning significantly more than I’m used to. Am I still in the break-in period or should I consider returning the mattress? I know I could try the mattress topper but this is maybe where I need correction - it feels wrong to need to buy a mattress topper just so my back doesn’t kill me after spending all this money on a mattress. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Certainly open to being corrected as well!

My Green Mattress - a lot more firm than I thought

I ended up ordering a MGM Natural Escape and have been sleeping on it for 6 nights now. All I can say is this mattress is much more firm than what I am used to. I’ve been waking up a little sore and admittedly miss my old Tuft & Needle Mattress that I bought at Lowe’s for $300 years ago. I will say that after the first couple nights it really started breaking in - there’s a noticeable wear compared to the center of the bed where nobody sleeps. Will this continue to break in and I’ll eventually be at peace with this mattress or am I wasting my time. I’m really hoping that ends up being the case because I really want to like it.

Currently sleeping on the mattress with no topper.

Help finding leather strap

Lug-to-lug is only 10mm but I don’t want the strap width to be 10mm. Ideally I’d like it to be larger because that would be way too skinny. Something like in the sketch I drew.

RSC Said My Bracelet Is Non-Authentic

Just went to the RSC for the first time ever to get my 16220 datejust serviced for the first time. My grandmother bought it for my grandfather back in 1998 and he just passed it down to me so I can wear it in my upcoming wedding in 3 months.

He hardly ever wore the watch so the watch is in great condition.

Today I went to go get it serviced for the first time ever in this watches life and was told by the watchmaker today that they have concerns about the jubilee bracelet and has deemed it not a genuine Rolex bracelet. I was shocked but I respectfully took them at their word since they are the professionals.

With that said - I have no idea how this could be possible and was hoping to get some thoughts from the community to ease my mind.

I have box and papers as well as the receipt from when my grandmother had purchased the watch from the jeweler.

I would ask my grandfather if he maybe had an issue with the bracelet in the past and maybe someone had swapped the bracelet for him but I’m trying to avoid telling my grandfather or grandmother about this event because I know it would devastate them.

Is it worth going to a different RSC to get a second opinion or probably not? If you were me would you just pay the RSC for a proper genuine bracelet, full-service and call it a day?

Getting Watch Serviced For First Time Tomorrow - Advice?

I have just been handed down my grandfathers 16220 from 1997 and am going to bring it in for its first ever servicing tomorrow.

He only wore it maybe twice but I figured since it’s 28 years old its the right thing to do to make sure the oil isn’t dried up inside (which I have no doubt that it is).

Given that this is my first ever Rolex and my first experience getting a watch serviced at a RSC - does anybody have any tips or advice before I walk in tomorrow?

The only thing I know for certain is I don’t want them to polish the watch since it’s in fantastic condition.
