Looking for game recommendations under ₹500 during the Steam sale

Hey guys! The Steam sale is going on and I’m planning to buy 1–2 games under ₹500 each.

My laptop specs:

- ASUS TUF Gaming F16

- RTX 3050 6GB

- Intel Core 5

- 16GB RAM

- 512GB SSD

I’m open to any genre — single-player, multiplayer, story-driven, open-world, RPG, FPS, etc.

I’m mainly looking for games that are actually worth buying at the current sale price, have good gameplay/story, and can make decent use of my laptop.

I don't have a huge Steam library yet, so feel free to recommend hidden gems as well.

What games would you guys recommend under ₹500 right now?

If you had ₹500–₹1,000 to spend during this sale, which 1–2 games would you pick? 👀

Thanks!

ASUS TUF Gaming F16 — 5+ Service Attempts, Motherboard Replaced, Same Crash Again. ASUS Still Says “Repair”

I honestly don't know what else I'm supposed to do at this point.

I bought an ASUS TUF Gaming F16 (FX607VJB) for around ₹75,000. Within a short period, I started facing random automatic restarts/crashes.

Since then, I've gone through repeated ASUS service interventions:

Motherboard replacement

Factory reset

Factory reset again

Complete OS reinstallation

Further inspection/service

And now, after the latest service, ASUS again claims the motherboard was replaced and the OS was reinstalled

And guess what?

THE SAME ISSUE IS BACK.

The latest crash happened after the laptop was returned from the latest service.

This isn't me saying “my laptop restarted once.”

Windows itself recorded the crash:

Event ID 41 – Kernel-Power

Event ID 6008 – unexpected shutdown

Event ID 1001 – BugCheck

BugCheck: 0x116 – VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE

A new Windows minidump was generated

I have screenshots, the minidump, service records and the complete email history.

And here's what is honestly frustrating me the most.

ASUS has repeatedly told me the issue was resolved. I cooperate, hand over the laptop, wait for the repair, get it back — and the same problem comes back again.

At one point, ASUS even closed/archived the case saying the issue was resolved.

Then it happened again.

I asked for a replacement because I'm done with repeatedly sending the same laptop for service.

The response?

Replacement is “not applicable.”

I was told to go through another repair process.

So apparently the solution to a laptop that keeps crashing after motherboard replacement is... another repair.

At this point, I am genuinely exhausted.

I didn't buy a ₹75,000 laptop to spend months travelling to service centres, collecting evidence, emailing ASUS teams and repeatedly handing over my laptop for the same unresolved problem.

I am now proceeding with a formal complaint through the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) and will be submitting the complete service history, technical evidence, correspondence and repair records.

I'm posting this because I want other people considering ASUS laptops in India to know what my warranty experience has actually been like.

I'm not asking anyone to blindly believe me. I'm attaching the evidence.

If anyone from ASUS sees this, I genuinely want one answer:

How many times am I expected to send the same laptop for repair before ASUS considers that the repair process itself has failed?
